By now you’ve seen the comments from Margerie.
They appear each day, many times a day, on MT Cowgirl.
So who is this person?
The site has had 16 posts up this month, and the first time we saw Margerie comment was on November 6 under the name Margerie Buck.
By November 11 she was commenting all the time on all kinds of posts, even from some put up a week earlier.
And my…she does a great job getting under the skin of the usual hard-line Dem readers that the site attracts!
Nearly everyone hates her, at least if you go by the comments responding to her comments.
And that has me thinking…who is Margerie benefiting?
I know for a fact that MT Cowgirl’s administrators know Margerie’s IP Address and thus where she’s commenting from. I wonder if she’s actually in Montana? Many of the ‘negative comments’ I get on this site actually come from California and Utah.
Another thing I wonder is, why is Margerie still allowed to comment?
I was banned from commenting on MT Cowgirl over 2 years ago now. Just yesterday ID even took down my two comments, or at least made it so that no one can see them.
So when it comes to my thoughts, they’re dangerous for Democrats and no one can be allowed to see them.
When it comes to Margerie, however, she’s put up with. And she just sticks to Cowgirl…not other sites in the MT blogosphere.
Interesting.
I really can’t imagine why – we don’t have another election for about 7 months, though it is a prime fundraising time (when’s it not?).
So maybe Margerie is simply a fundraising gimmick, one Helena Dems hope will help them get another $5 here, $10 there from their obnoxious emails.
Or maybe she’s a real person, but gosh darn it, I just can’t imagine why MT Cowgirl would put up with that voice.
Perhaps it’s a tactic to get more people to the site, several times a day to read the comments. That way they can get a little incensed, dig in their heels, and support their guys no matter what, even more so.
The last time we checked Montana political blog rankings, MT Cowgirl was coming in at #480,000. Today they’re sitting at #416,000.
Another site that toes the Party line is ID, and they’re currently ranking at #254,000, which is a vast improvement from their #495,000 ranking back in September.
All I can find on Margerie Buck is a woman from Montana named Marjorie Buck, born in 1934 in Fergus County.
That’d make her 83-years-old. No, I just feel this is not the person.
So who is this person…and does it really matter?

- Or is Margerie some creation by the Helena Bubble to ratchet up the foaming-at-the-mouth that they feel their Democratic base needs right now?
