I ain’t got a pot to piss in and the sink’s full of dirty dishes.
Despite that, I pulled a crumpled-up $10 bill out of my pocket, put it in an envelope, wrote a short note of encouragement, and sent it off to the Heenan campaign.
I’m sure I’ll get the standard form ‘thank you’ letter in response.
And that’s fine.
$10 ain’t gonna get you too far…but a donation from Greg Strandberg means that you won’t be ‘attacked’ on this site.
For the next 10 months, that’ll be valuable. Smart politicians know this. It’s why Gianforte contacted me before he even filed for governor. And I didn’t attack him.
Sure, I offered some constructive criticism sometimes, and Heenan should expect the same. Trust me…if you’re fucking up, I’ll let you know.
John Lewis, Pat Noonan, Amanda Curtis, and Rob Quist could tell you the same.
Yep, I put my money where my mouth is and I’ve been doing so for about 4 years now.
I was hoping to give my $10 to Tom Woods, but he dropped out and half-endorsed Heenan.
- I have to be honest…I’m not a big fan of Heenan’s hair.
- I probably don’t support him on every issue.
- If we were to sit down to beers, I might not even like the guy.
But he’s our best shot.
And he’s a ton better than Hillary-krat, Grant Kier.
- I won’t vote for Kier, should he get the nod after the June primary. I’ll vote for the Libertarian.
- I won’t vote for Gianforte, either.
Gianforte broke the law and lied about it. Hey…I work in a bar – I see assaults (and sexual assaults) every weekend.
I can understand that in a bar when people are drinking; I can’t abide it from our elected officials.
It won’t be until after June – and possibly the summer slow-time – before Heenan really starts attacking Gianforte on these issues.
And that’s Heenan’s main path to a win – Gianforte’s assault charges.
Usually I encourage Democrats to not attack Republicans, but to put forth their own ideas.
In this race, that's not the case.
Heenan needs to come out hard, and he needs to stay hard. I’m not sure he can do that…but I hope he can.
John Heenan has my vote in June, and hopefully in November.
1 person, 1 vote.
That’s about all I can do. Maybe with this site I can convince a few hundred others to do the same.
I hope it helps.
Good luck, John.
