I don’t think before January 3, which is when Greg Gianforte will be sworn-in as governor.
You know Bullock isn’t going to move us out of the draconian restrictions placed on us by Phase 2.
You know Cooney isn’t going to move us out should he win...and that’s a big reason he won’t win - many in the state are sick of restrictions and masks and no school.
We know Cooney will continue all of that; Gianforte will end it.
Sadly, local communities have immense levels of power so even when Gianforte takes office, little will change.
Consider Missoula.
Here our Health Department will continue the mask order and the local school district will continue remote learning.
This will be done to spite both Trump and Gianforte for winning.
Parents have got to be pulling their hair out, especially those that rely on two incomes to get by.
I can’t imagine the pain single-mothers are feeling.
Here’s the plan for Missoula:
“On Tuesday, August 11, 2020, the MCPS Board of Trustees voted to approve the Superintendent’s recommended reopening plan. MCPS schools will open in Phase 1 – Hybrid Model, with the exception of Seeley Swan High School. Seeley Swan High School will open in Phase 2- Modified Schedule. The District will also provide the MCPS Online Academy to all students K-12 until the District reaches Phase 3.”
Currently for the entire first month of school, Missoula students will be in class just two days a week: Tuesday and Wednesday it’s kids with last names A-K in class; Thursday and Friday it’s kids with L-Z in class; Mondays are no school for anyone due to teacher training.
I suspect there will be no school on Mondays for the entire year. I believe this is largely due to laziness, although the teachers will use fear as their excuse.
So for three days a week, every school-age parent in Missoula has to stay home from work - if they still have a job - or secure some kind of childcare...and good luck with that.
On top of this, during those three days they’re expected to do about half of the remote learning work, or their childcare provider is.
And if those parents have other kids to take care of as well?
Good luck.
And if some of them are single mothers?
Good luck.
Bullock couldn’t move the state into Phase 3 if he wanted to. His own Party would turn on him, many being parents, but most being anti-Trumpers. If Montana opens up too soon, Trump could win.
It’s not about people or saving lives or even our kids...and it’s certainly not about our economy.
It’s orange man bad...and nothing else matters but getting rid of him.
And God forbid you piss off Sharon Stone.
Who the hell is that?
A woman that got famous 30 years ago for showing her va-jay-jay in an R-rated movie.
She got pissed, the Montana media got in a tizzy, and now we’re looking at going back to Phase 1.
Get used to it - you don’t matter; out-of-staters with money to buy houses and pay property taxes do.
They’re happy to be here; they came from hell (CA, WA, OR, IL, NY).
God help us.
Let’s take a moment to consider washed-up Sharon Stone and her complaints about Montana’s testing this week.
It’s the elephant in the room, testing.
No nation on this planet has done more tests than us, but the thing is...these tests are useless.
Why?
Because 40% of people that have the virus don’t have symptoms. These people would never seek-out a test, because they feel fine...they’re not sick.
This is doubly true for our kids.
You’ve heard about schools reopening and then closing again because so many are testing positive.
These kids aren’t sick; their school districts mandate the tests and then find out that perfectly healthy kids have it.
So those schools close.
Georgia is getting it the worst, with nearly 20 different schools opening and then quickly closing down. Indiana is another state getting hit particularly hard in this area.
New York is held-up as the example of what states should be doing. We know this because the corporate media - which is nothing more than the marketing department for the Democratic Party - tells us.
Why else would Cuomo get a spot at the convention?
I mean...his state has done the worst in the country...and it’s become one of the worst parts of the world.
How long are we going to put up with the lies?
The virus didn’t kill millions.
The lockdowns didn’t prevent the spread. Masks are not preventing the spread.
The two countries with the strictest lockdowns in place have seen explosions in cases - Belgium and Peru.
Everything we were told months ago was a lie; all the expert advice to stop the spread was wrong.
Sweden and South Dakota did nothing, and those places are doing better than much of the world.
But then it was never about the virus. It was about defeating Trump...which itself was just a flimsy facade to get rid of paper currency and global debt while ushering in a ‘great reset’ that ensures the 1% of the 1% can continue to rule the world.
Or am I wrong on that?
Notice that the media doesn’t mention deaths anymore? Why would they - they’re going down!
So we just hear about cases.
Let’s focus on the day August 20.
On that day, a whopping 333 people died from the virus on the entire European continent. That’s out of the 741 million people that live there.
Australia is currently embarking on one of the most draconian lockdown strategies we’ve seen yet.
You’d imagine that the country is getting hit hard, but that’s just not the case. They’ve had 352 deaths. The only country with fewer deaths is South Korea, with 302.
Some other countries that have been coming back into the news because of new cases are Italy, Belgium, and Australia.
These places had 6, 10, and 13 deaths the other day, respectively.
In the US, we had 211 deaths on the same day.
Why are we still locked down? Why are kids being kept home from school?
It’s time to end this charade.
But it’s not about deaths anymore, it’s about cases. Pretty soon it won’t be about the virus; it’ll be about something else.
How long will you put up with this bait-and-switch?
