Wow, it’s fun!
This is a fun book.
I’m sure you’ll like it. If you’ve read the first four then I’m sure you’re waiting on it.
Don’t worry – it’ll be out sometime this month.
I originally wanted to put it out at the beginning of March, but gosh, I just got really into it this past week and it’s moved along nicely.
So what’s the story about?
Well, the last time we left our characters we saw Colter about to head upriver again.
Meanwhile, at the Three Forks of the Missouri, we had a lot of men in their fort, the Blackfeet Indians all about.
So what happens next?
Revenge, that’s what – cold and sweet revenge.
Before that, however, we go back a bit…back to October.
You’ll remember that the conclusion to Colter’s Friend is in November.
At the start of this new book we’ll spend two whole parts looking at what happened right after George died.
That’s a couple weeks of time and it’ll bring us right back to Colter in St. Louis in November.
At that point we head upriver, meet some interesting characters, and head back into Montana.
There’s lots of death in this book, and the She-Wolves are a big reason for that.
I think you’ll like the chapter where they pin some whites in a cave at the base of the Bridger Range.
Now if I can just figure out what those mountains were called in 1809 (Bridger wasn’t born until 1804 and didn’t come to Montana until 1823).
Anyways, this book is fun, it’s coming along, and it’ll be out soon.
When I say soon I mean in February, probably in a couple more weeks.

Thanks for reading!
