This week’s the 2-month mark since Don hung it up at MT Post.
Since then, Nathan Kostad has taken over.
It seems like Nathan has thrown in the towel, given up...but if we want to be completely honest with ourselves, that’s what he’s been doing from the start.
I don’t think he was prepared for Don’s departure anymore than Don was. And whatever happened to sue-friendly Pete Talbot? I guess he gave up as well.
I don’t know the exact day Don gave up, but March 29 was the day that other bloggers noticed and began writing about it.
So what’s happened in the two months since then?
They’ve put up 21 posts during that time, 10 of which have been their cartoon posts, or 47%.
May 2 saw two of those cartoon posts go up, as well as a post about Zinke. The next day we had another cartoon post, the day after that an anti-Gianforte post (complete with him holding a baby raptor), and then 10 days later we got another cartoon post.
In the 10 days since then...nothing.
The only one with a worse posting schedule is James Conner, and he has the excuse that he’s dying.
What’s Nathan’s excuse?
I guess he’s busy.
He certainly doesn’t have the fire-in-the-belly that Don had, not even close. I enjoyed reading Don’s partisan and closed-minded thoughts; but what Nathan writes doesn’t interest me at all.
And those cartoons? The only reason I laugh is because they’re so bad.
Dems in Montana are not in trouble because one of their main mouthpiece blogs is now gone - they simply rely on the union-funded Daily Montana blog, which is full of former Lee Enterprises hacks, most of whom were either fired or quit.
I don’t read that site, either.
Why should I? They’re boring, incredibly so.
MT Times is very boring as well, I think the writer there realizes this, and they’re giving up.
