Maybe you heard the news today in the Montana political circles.
Radio personality Aaron Flint will be heading to the Gianforte for Governor campaign.
Ron Catlett had the news first, around 10 AM. I heard about it an hour after that and shared the link to the article.
It’s on Northern News Network and is called Aaron Flint Announces His Departure from Show.
It was revealed that Flint announced on-air that he is quitting the show so that he can join the Gianforte campaign.
Flint has been on the radio program for 6 years. I’m not sure what the pay and benefits package is like, but he’s surely taking a leap of faith here.
That’s quite impressive. It shows that people believe in Gianforte. What’s more, Flint is someone that thousands of people know and trust.
I mentioned in a comment on Facebook that this really throws a wrench in the Democratic narrative that Gianforte is bad.
If someone like Flint, a name that people know and trust, is going over to Gianforte, really, can the guy be that bad?
There wasn’t much else on this story until 4 PM when Sanjay Talawani put up a post on KXLH called Radio Host Aaron Flint is Joining the Gianforte Campaign.
There it’s revealed that Flint has a BA in Broadcast Journalism from UM. It also tells us that Flint worked for Senator Burns in D.C.
I’m not sure if he’s worked on or for other campaigns. I’m not sure if he’s the best fit for communications director.
Yeah, that’s the title he’ll have with Gianforte.
Pretty big job, huh? Especially if you consider how much the Democrats are trying to tar and feather Gianforte right now.
Can Flint fight back?
I’d like to think so. He had a darn good tweet up the other day, one that rallied the base and got them fired up.
Remember, you might be seeing a lot of the same bozos doing Democratic attacks each day, but it only takes one good hit to make people think, and cheer.
Can Flint keep them coming, and in a way that hits the whole state and not just the political wonks?
I’m not sure, but I have to be completely honest, I’m not hopeful.
I want to be hopeful.
I want someone to bash and destroy the Bullock dark money machine. I just with it was someone besides religious zealot Gianforte.
Oh well – it’s a long time until election day (not this one, the one in 2016).
