The patients of Montana’s medical cannabis program deserve to be treated with more respect than they have by the largest providers in the state. Big financial interest from out of state are also walking the halls of Helena in support of this bill. I’m asking for your help in shining a light on this situation prior to SB 333 making it’s way through the House and to the governor's desk. Competition in the Industry is critical for product to evolve in quality and prices to fall benefiting the consumer. Under this legislation patients in the program who grow for themselves can not buy from a provider. This is heartless to patients who do not know how to grow, but are trying to save money on a low income. Patients who chose to grow for themselves even wealthy and capable MUST wait till their first crop comes in to access natural medicine not covered by insurance. The most professional grower with perfect timed cycles could only produce an ounce a month if trying abide by this law. 1 ounce a harvest off two mature plants. 60 day flowering cycles make only 1 mature plant a month possible. This leaves home-growers with no choice, but to shut their system down and sign up with a provider. When these outside groups and the MTCIA were asked about home-grows in the committee hearing they misled the legislature. They were told patients are getting up to 3 pounds a plant. (Not possible indoors. Only possible if you are growing 1 cycle a year outside and in MT you again would need the skills and indoor equipment to get it going early indoors to achieve this.) The other thing they heard when they asked Kate what they are doing about Home-grows in other states. She defers to a Washington state lab lobbyist who says that they are shutting them down because it can’t be tracked. They both forget to mention that in the state just south of WA all individuals over 21 are allowed to grow 4 plants. Without any kind of tracking or reporting! This law also encourages doctors loyalty to be to providers not their patients. When we owned a company in MT we were told by doctors who are good people that they could not have our business cards out unless we raised our prices because the largest providers in the state threatened to send their cards to different doctors. Just to make numbers easy if a group has 1,200 cards it requires 100 renewals a month. The doctor to is then put in a very bad position because they have risked it all to issue cards. Their income now depends on renewal and they are in a rock and a hard spot. Let’s kill this bill. If you are a patient or just want to defend them please call and email the local media and ask them to inform the public that the patients deserve better than this.

Greg, you're still young. My advice to you is to get the fuck out of this country! It's over. The nazzzis won. The last few days have convinced me that now all hope is lost. Gorsuch was the final nail in the coffin. The time to fight back was a long time ago, and all the Dims could think about was gun control and some gay dude with a d*ck up his pooper not getting his rights.

"Sanders, whose organization, Our Revolution, has endorsed Quist, said that the House hopeful is the kind of candidate Democrats should be putting up in traditionally Republican areas."
