The patients of Montana’s medical cannabis program deserve to be treated with more respect than they have by the largest providers in the state. Big financial interest from out of state are also walking the halls of Helena in support of this bill. I’m asking for your help in shining a light on this situation prior to SB 333 making it’s way through the House and to the governor's desk. Competition in the Industry is critical for product to evolve in quality and prices to fall benefiting the consumer. Under this legislation patients in the program who grow for themselves can not buy from a provider. This is heartless to patients who do not know how to grow, but are trying to save money on a low income. Patients who chose to grow for themselves even wealthy and capable MUST wait till their first crop comes in to access natural medicine not covered by insurance. The most professional grower with perfect timed cycles could only produce an ounce a month if trying abide by this law. 1 ounce a harvest off two mature plants. 60 day flowering cycles make only 1 mature plant a month possible. This leaves home-growers with no choice, but to shut their system down and sign up with a provider. When these outside groups and the MTCIA were asked about home-grows in the committee hearing they misled the legislature. They were told patients are getting up to 3 pounds a plant. (Not possible indoors. Only possible if you are growing 1 cycle a year outside and in MT you again would need the skills and indoor equipment to get it going early indoors to achieve this.) The other thing they heard when they asked Kate what they are doing about Home-grows in other states. She defers to a Washington state lab lobbyist who says that they are shutting them down because it can’t be tracked. They both forget to mention that in the state just south of WA all individuals over 21 are allowed to grow 4 plants. Without any kind of tracking or reporting! This law also encourages doctors loyalty to be to providers not their patients. When we owned a company in MT we were told by doctors who are good people that they could not have our business cards out unless we raised our prices because the largest providers in the state threatened to send their cards to different doctors. Just to make numbers easy if a group has 1,200 cards it requires 100 renewals a month. The doctor to is then put in a very bad position because they have risked it all to issue cards. Their income now depends on renewal and they are in a rock and a hard spot. Let’s kill this bill. If you are a patient or just want to defend them please call and email the local media and ask them to inform the public that the patients deserve better than this.
I'm glad I don't have a TV.
I won't have to see the Gianforte/PAC ads attacking what I consider to be a royal fuck-up on the part of the Quist campaign.
How embarrassing. The third world poverty stricken countries have to show us how it's done.
I have always said that conservative simply means dumber than dog shit, and this dude proves me right!
BTW, bein' the polyglot that I am, I would say that Petrini in Fr. is Petite weenie! Seriously. It's true. Check it out.
What a flockin' buffoon! Drumpf has opened a Pandora's box of inbreds!
Fuckin' faggot bastards. Gonna cost us another election. I hope faggot luvin' Conners is happy. I give up on the Dims.
"Correction. The FDP’s Facebook page was wrong. FDP chair Lynn Stanley confirms that the FDP is co-sponsoring the event. Her statement, which she graciously provided although on vacation, is on http://www.flatheadmemo.com. I’m sure that fainting couches will be available for any self-appointed guardian of public morality who chooses to attends and is shocked into swooning."
More tomorrow when I'm sober. Fuckin' faggot luvn' basards!
THESE are the guys the Dims want to champion! Is it really any wonder the Pubbies are kickin' your asses? The whole idea of gay marriage is a joke. They don't WANT to get married. They just want to have lots of gay sex! I call them Conner's boys!
Gay people make up about 3.8% of the American population.
Just 0.6% of Americans get an abortion each year.
Transgender people are 0.3% of the population.
Meanwhile 17% of Americans own guns, 60% have a job, and last time I looked, 100% of us have to eat and shelter and clothe ourselves.
That's hard to do when 14% of the country, or about 43 million of us, are living in poverty.
But according to the state and the feds, the employment rate has never been better and there have never been more MT jobs.
Yeah, take a look at the Missoula craigslist job postings and tell me that. I can't find a decent job to save my life.
Anyways, why's it matter?
MT Dem leadership will continue as it is, no matter the outcome of the special election or what happens at their convention in June. Tester will remain a Bourbon, Wall Street Democrat and Montanans will turn their back to this.
Meanwhile we'll continue to struggle, and ask why.
Quist made the big time. Good article too.
"Asked Tuesday if the campaign arm [of the DCCC] should be actively involved in Montana, he said they’re moving in that direction.
But while the DCCC may be sitting on the sidelines for now, the Democratic National Committee appears to be giving it a much closer look, and plans to send high-profile surrogates there in the coming weeks.
Staying out of the race, according to one school of thought, saves not just money, but face. “Democratic Party operatives have over-learned two lessons: first, if they do not compete somewhere, no one they care about will think they `lost.’ And if all of their actual losses are lost conventionally, their conventional career will continue upwards,” said Jeff Hauser, a longtime Democratic operative who does not endorse losing as a strategy. “Basically, losing the same way your predecessors lost is solid career advice for Democratic Party operatives.”"
There's a lot here.
For instance...why the effort - or at least thoughts about putting effort forth - from the DCCC?
What happened in the past week or two to make them change their tune, and the possible direction of their expenditures from Georgia to MT?
Maybe my look at the MT Dem finances made a difference.
I'd like to think so. They know I'll be looking again in 12 days.
It's called accountability. If over the next month or two the MT Dems continue to piss away money on anything other than the Quist race then people will know.
If they continue to funnel money up to National but National doesn't help us win this race, then someone will have to answer for that.
Greg, you're still young. My advice to you is to get the fuck out of this country! It's over. The nazzzis won. The last few days have convinced me that now all hope is lost. Gorsuch was the final nail in the coffin. The time to fight back was a long time ago, and all the Dims could think about was gun control and some gay dude with a d*ck up his pooper not getting his rights.
Well, I have totally given up. I'm old. I will stay here for I'm too old to start over. I will simply stay as drunk as possible until my final day. But you, get out now! This country is doomed. It's kinda like the wilderness debate. Soon, there will be nothing left to "save".
And the nazzzis were right. There really ARE a lot of useless eaters out there, and they all voted for Trump! They think that Trump and Jesus are going to save them. And the useless eaters are breeding like rabbits. And the problems they cause are growing exponentially.
I plan to now just sit back and watch the show. It didn't have to be this way. The Dims all turned into quitters, just like paddy wms. Quitters never win. And they didn't!
"Sanders, whose organization, Our Revolution, has endorsed Quist, said that the House hopeful is the kind of candidate Democrats should be putting up in traditionally Republican areas."
“In Montana, if it works out, we’d love to go to Montana and help Quist in his race.”
This Montana history blog is working its way up through time.It began in March 2013 with the early geology of Montana and continues on toward recent Montana history. Currently we're edging up into the 1990s.If you'd like to read more about Montana, check out my old 2014 Montana Election Blog.
