In Seattle, it’s a complete mess.
The Seattle Times has been covering this mess quite well. It really does resemble the mess cropping up in other areas of the country.
Isn’t it interesting that the areas with the most problems are controlled by Democrats...and have been for decades?
Here’s an idea - move!
Anyways, It seems that protesters there have taken over an entire neighborhood, one called Capitol Hill. It even has an abandoned police precinct. It’s six blocks in size and is now being ‘policed’ by Antifa members walking around with AR-15s.
The other night one of the socialists on the city council there - that’s actually her political party - let protesters into the city hall after it was closed for some kind of kumbaya moment.
It was there, at that moment, that you could see the cracks appearing in this ‘movement.’
First of all...what are the goals of this ‘movement?’ I don’t think the people in it know.
From what I can tell, it started out with calls for police reform, then racial justice, then social justice, then defunding the police and now the removal of police chiefs and mayors.
What's next?
Seattle’s Mayor Durkin seems to be a major target, and most of the protesters want her to lose her job. More want the $15 minimum wage or for police to stop chokeholds.
And then we have the minorities within the minority of this minority movement.
“One speaker, Sarah Tornai, told the crowd the Black Lives Matter movement needs to be led by LGBTQIA women of color.
‘This movement cannot become a movement that is led by male voices,’ Tornai said. That doesn’t mean they aren’t important, she said, but ‘LGBTQ women of color right now need for male voices to listen.’
Tornai added that without organization and strategy, she worries the movement will fracture.”
Whoa...you mean there’s a chance this ‘movement’ might fracture?
Hell, I couldn’t tell it was even together in the first place!
When the protesters were done at City Hall, they moved back to their occupied Capitol Hill for movie night. The film? Why, a documentary about black men in prison, of course!
Why are they in prison?
Don't be coy - because of whitey!
The Coming Blowback
This is a nation founded upon laws. Before some of the earliest people even got off the boat, they made a compact so they’d know what was expected of them.
Law and order. It’s what people are looking for right now.
86% of the people in this country feel things are out of control.
Just 14% of people actually like what’s happening...like what they see in the news each day.
There’s going to be an immense blowback against these protesters and rioters and their ‘movement.’
I hope that blowback is peaceful and not violent, but I’m afraid many of the most radical of the Antifa and Black Lives Matter and #MeToo folks won’t go down without a fight. Many want to be martyrs, and the longer this continues, the more emboldened they’ll become to go out with a bang.
Which will just make the blowback all the more swift, ensuring that whatever ‘goals’ they might have been working toward will never be met.
What will happen instead is the Silent Majority sitting at home following the laws will vote, and they’ll vote for the GOP, and we’ll see overwhelming wins in areas we never thought we would.
Because people want police. They realize how much good they do in their communities.
And this will be reflected in 149 days when we watch the results come in on election night.
Or did you think something else was going to happen?
Maybe you think the ‘movement’ is going to prevail, and that police will no longer exist and that our systemic racism will go away overnight.
I don’t.
I think this disparate group of leftists will do what those on the left always do - they’ll turn on themselves, fracturing their ‘movement’ and creating so much ill-will and resentment amongst themselves that any kind of ‘gains’ they might have made in the weeks or months prior will have been for naught.
Meanwhile, in the rest of the world they actually have real problems...
I'm very worried about Eastern Africa, India and Pakistan. The latter two hate each other and have nukes, and their food supply is being destroyed.
A fourth generation of locusts broke out this year, with 40 to 80 million insects in a swarm, and capable of eating enough food in a day that’d feed normally feed 300 million people.
The UN figures that 300,000 a day will begin to die from hunger in various parts of the world, though they won't admit when.
I think it’ll start in a couple months.
