No one likes desperation.
You can smell it a mile away.
Think of a desperate salesman – he needs to make the sale, and you know it. Boy, that’s a turn-off.
People like that fail. Maybe they became desperate because they kept failing, but the desperation ensures they’ll never win again.

That’s a big reason why Democrats in American just can’t win anymore. They’re desperate.
A couple weeks ago I quoted Salon:
“…we have a party that has lost close to 1,000 state legislature seats over the past decade and suffered historic wipeouts in the last two midterm elections, leaving it in a weaker position on Capitol Hill than at any time since the Great Depression. That party became so strapped for cash, not to mention so spiritually enervated, that it rented itself out to one of its presidential candidates while pretending to remain neutral with respect to that candidate’s campaign."
Yeah, pretty desperate.
And no one’s gonna vote for desperation…aside from people that are desperate themselves.
So I encourage the Democrats to come up with a new game plan. While we both know that won’t happen – hell, I’ve been pontificating for it on this site for years, now – it’s just about the only thing Dems can do.
A good cleaning-of-the-house would be a fine place to start.
You’ve got nearly 50 Democratic senators in Congress, but just a handful have name-recognition.
Get rid of those fools. The Bernie’s and Pocahontas’s and Schumer’s – just stop giving them attention.
Don’t even get me started on Nancy Pelosi. My God…who she helps is beyond me.
We’ve got to get rid of the old and the weak. We’ve got to cut out the dead wood.
You and I both know this will never happen…willingly.
And that’s why Democrats will continue to lose, will continue to remain a minority Party, and will continue to reek of desperation.
Ha, they actually think they have a chance to take back a chamber of Congress in 2018. Can you believe that?
The only thing worse than the desperation is the delusion.
Democrats aren’t helping anyone in America these days. They won’t help anyone until they can win again.
I’m not convinced they should win again. Their ‘leaders’ are uninspiring and their ideas are stale. Both are reasons America has given up on them.
Oh, they could win again…easily, and in landslides, but they just don’t believe in themselves anymore.
Nor does America.
