Matt.
He was a good friend of mine in college.
Was.
It’s interesting how we grow apart from people as we get older, as our views change.
Like many, the defining moment for me was Facebook. You really do see what your ‘friends’ think.
I realized that Matt and I had grown apart...but deep down, I knew that back in college.
Matt was a player. A womanizer. I liked that. I wanted to be that. But I never was.
Didn’t work out too well for Matt. He had to pay for three abortions with three different women during his college days.
Oh, how he complained about that cost!
Years later, Matt moved to Colorado, got a cushy job with benefits, married some girl, and now has three kids.
Imagine that.
The three he has now are good...but the three he aborted? Not so good.
Hell, they weren’t even human. The medical term is fetus.
For years, we’ve been debating when life starts. Is it conception...three months, six months [insert preferable month here]...right before birth, at birth?
When does the soul come into the body?
Does it matter?
Not to the abortion proponents. They don’t care. They don’t believe in souls. God is an afterthought. There is no Heaven or Hell (God, are they thankful for that last one).
I used to like to throw the statistic around that we did 400,000 abortions in this country each year.
I was wrong - it’s 600,000.
But then I started doing some research for this post, and saw a stat saying it’s 900,000.
The top search result website says it’s about 800,000.
They say since Roe v. Wade went into effect, we’ve had over 61 million abortions in this country...and that’s just up to 2018.
My God.
I got into a huge row about this on Reddit (I love challenging the ultra-liberal on social media when they’re outside their safe Facebook bubbles. They hate it.) I encourage you to read that. I also put my thoughts on RD about Heaven being overcrowded with unwanted babies, even though these were part of the soul contract.
I think it’s the corruption of the media, largely brought to us by the TV. Just 3% of American households don’t have the monolithic box in their home.
It erodes our culture, our morals, and our humanity.
By far, California is the worst in the country for abortions, with over 132,000 so far this year. The state has 58 counties...and 161 abortion clinics.
Next is New York, with 105,000 this year, and then Florida, with 71,000.
Texas, where all the uproar is currently, is next, with 55,000.
How about Montana?
We’ve had 1,580 abortions so far this year.
If you go to Wikipedia it’ll tell you that our abortion clinics have gone like so:
1982: 20 clinics
1992: 12
2011: 7
2014: 5
I think we’re moving in the right direction. Many will disagree. That’s why they had the pro-abortion marches across the state today.
Yeah...my body, my choice.
It applies to abortions, but not to the vaccine.
Because when you don’t take the vaccine, you could be harming another person.
When you get an abortion, you’re not harming anyone (a fetus isn’t a person, remember?). In fact, you’re protecting the mother, er...sorry - birthing person.
Yes, the hypocrisy is glaring. Let’s ignore it.
And I just have to say...I can’t help but think the few hundred people that showed up at the various rallies today...God, they must be lonely.
You don’t see a lot of children in those images. Just the Great Falls rally had some, two...down in the corner looking damn bored. What kind of mother brings their kids to a rally that supports the idea that they should never have been born in the first place?
These people are sick.
But like most minorities, they are loud and vocal. Doesn’t do ‘em much good. Zinke won by 55,000 votes in ‘14 and 80,000 votes in ‘16 and I bet he’ll crack 100,000 next year.
More than sick, they’re depressed. They hate life. They hate God. They hate themselves.
Over 50% of liberal women have a mental health disorder, Pew Research found out.
We see that everyday in the raging abortion debates around this country. These are mostly young women without purpose lashing out at the world ‘that’s against them.’
70 years ago they would have been in the home with kids and happy. Today they’re on the streets with placards and unhappy.
I hope our young women can get the help they need.
Alas, that ‘help’ might come in the form of a man, something they rail against, the idea of masculinity. Most women think they don’t need it.
And look where it’s gotten them.
Sad, lonely, depressed...and hundreds of thousands of babies have to be aborted each year because of it.
