It’s the economy, stupid!
12% of Montana workers filed for unemployment over the past month, which is about 64,000 people.
We know that many more are out of work, but simply haven’t filed...either because they don’t want to, or simply cannot.
The reason they cannot is because the state’s website and phone call system is broken. Even if you do file, you won’t get your money.
The man who created this mess is running for the U.S. Senate against a GOP incumbent in a GOP state that won with 58% of the vote last time he ran.
He beat out his Democratic opponent by 65,000 votes.
That’s a thousand more people than Steve Bullock threw out of work.
What do you think’s gonna happen?
- Do you think the economy will turn around enough by November 3? That’s 202 days from now.
- Do you think a good economy helps Bullock or helps Daines? What about a bad economy?
- Who will get blamed for a bad economy if we still have one in 202 days...Daines or Bullock?
Daines didn’t throw anyone out of work like Bullock did. This is going to be the issue in November - the economy and who ruined it.
Democrats are already blaming Trump, and Bullock will do as his D.C. handlers want, so he’ll jump on that bandwagon as well.
For Bullock, his only real hope is that this economic catastrophe pulls Trump down, and takes many of the GOP congressmen hanging onto his coattails as well.
Bullock also desperately needs more people to die from this virus. So far, we’ve only had 7 deaths.
That’s not enough.
64,000 people have had their lives ruined, so we’re going to need at least that many Coronavirus deaths here in Montana to justify the economic catastrophe that Bullock unleashed upon the state.
If we don’t, and our hospitals keep laying-off workers instead of becoming overwhelmed, then Bullock’s going to be in deep shit.
$16 million a month that Kalispell hospital is losing because they’re not doing elective surgeries, and 600 people just lost their jobs because of that.
Because of Steve.
Those people will now file for unemployment, overwhelming our system even more.
All because 400 people in this state have the virus, and 7 people died. Bullock admits he’ll keep us guessing every two weeks, just as I told you he would.
Steve Bullock has absolutely no idea what to do.
Look at that image of him there today, with his lackeys standing six feet apart from each other. Right behind Bullock is Cooney, a man that actually thinks he has a shot at taking over Steve’s job.
Gianforte is going to steamroll him. Montanans desperately want to get back to work, and Gianforte is the businessman that’s going to ride in to the rescue.
Daines raised $1.4 million last quarter and has $5 million in his campaign warchest. New FEC campaign reports will be filed tomorrow and we’ll have a better idea of the race’s status next week.
Bullock has $123,000. He’d raised $5.2 million to run for president, but inexplicably, spent $5.1 million of that.
On what?
Nearly half of his money went to pay his staffers...a bunch of ‘yes-men’ that told him what he wanted to hear.
Made out like bandits, they did.
Meanwhile, Steve’s presidential ambitions went down in flames - and as we expected over two years ago - he did the only thing he could: run for the Senate.
A week later the world changed. Just ten days after filing, Steve closed the economy and threw most everyone out of work.
Now he’s in a pickle.
- Open the economy and risk more people getting infected, possibly doubling our death toll to 14, perhaps even tripling it to 21?
- Or keep everything closed down for another two weeks...and another two after that...and then two more just to be safe?
I just don’t think Bullock has a shot at beating Daines now.
If he would have acted more like South Dakota’s governor, he would have had a chance.
But Bullock is a follower, not a leader. He takes his cue from the corporate media. When all the other states started to close, Bullock jumped right on the bandwagon and closed ours.
He actually thinks he can still win in November after doing this...after destroying the lives of tens of thousands of Montanans.
He lost any chance at the conservative vote by closing the state. His decision to keep it closed for longer than a month will cost him much of the independent vote. Months from now, when we realize how much damage was done and how many lives were ruined, and he’ll lose much of the Democratic vote (they’ll just stay home).
“Steve has spent his life fighting for Montana families to make sure all Montanans have a fair shot at a better future.”
Because of Steve’s policies over the past month, tens of thousands of Montanans won’t have shot at a better future.
