Not even noon yet here in Missoula.
I wonder what’ll happen tonight...but I don’t really care.
Missoula County is a fine example of the how elections work...or don’t.
Here we have 75,000 people in the city and 120,000 in the city/county combined.
Nearly 85,000 of these folks are registered to vote, and yet just about 45% of them probably will do so...or 36,000.
As usual, most people just don’t care. They don’t see a point. Nothing changes.
So most people don’t vote, and this year in the county we’ll probably see 49,000 people not vote, for outnumbering the 36,000 that do.
I think that says a lot, perhaps more than voting says.
In case you’d like be to be a bit more specific, what these 49,000 people are telling us is, ‘Fuck you and you’re rotten, stupid, corrupt, cheating little system and all the fucking phonies in it!’
Or were you hearing something else?
They’re Coming!
As you watch the news...would you rather live in New York or Montana?
What about New Yorkers? How many do you think want to leave their city, its terrible politics, its terrible job situation, and its terribly bad future outlook?
How about California? I bet a lot of Californians are going to pull up stakes and find another state to live in. Thousands will come to Montana, maybe tens of thousands.
And you can’t blame ‘em. Luckily, we’ll get the best these states have to offer, not the worst. For instance...do you think poor people that loot stores are going to move up here...or the people that used to own those stores?
I think it’ll be the latter, especially as California gets set to completely obliterate their state’s finances with their Senate Bill 939.
This bill says that “small business owners financially hurt by the pandemic would be allowed to renegotiate rent more easily based on how much money they are taking in under the limited coronavirus limitations. Should the renter and landlord not come to a new agreement, the renter could pull out of the lease at any time. Renters would not have to pay all future rents should this happen, but all back rent would have to be legally paid.”
In addition to this, renters can’t be evicted until the state’s lockdown ends...whenever that is.
Lots of people are going to be moving around this country soon. They’re realizing that the state’s they live in don’t care about them, can’t protect their property, can’t even protect their family, and many times, can’t even keep the promises that were made years or decades ago (pensions).
Fiat Currencies
Currencies around the world continue to lose value.
You could get 18 Mexican pesos for $1 in February, but now it’s nearly 22 to 1. This is the worst-performing currency in the world right now.
Other nations are having similar problems.
Columbia, Russia, Uruguay, Brazil, South Africa, Indonesia, Norway, Australia, Israel, New Zealand, Iceland...all have seen their currency fall since this crisis began.
These nations now have to pay more if they want to meet foreign exchange payment obligations...debt. Considering they’re already suffering under three months of lockdown, this is the last thing those economies need.
The D.C. Church
Maybe it’s just me, but the bishop in charge of that D.C. church seems more angry that Trump visited than she is that the church was nearly burned down the day before by rioters that have neither been identified, or arrested.
Pallets of Bricks
Why would pallets of bricks suddenly appear in the cities where riots are occurring?
I don’t know, but it sure seems fishy.
I encourage you to look into this story. You know the network news media won’t.
Here are a few places to get started:
I’m sorry, but if we have piles of bricks appearing, people are going to think that these riots are planned.
People will think this is all fake, and that there’s some kind of agenda.
You know what doesn’t help with this? Police standing by and letting looters do whatever they want.
Most of the time, there’s no police anywhere in sight.
Our Tumultuous June
June is going to be an outrageous month.
Joe Biden will pick Kamala Harris as his VP sometime over the next month. No one else is going to attract the black women voters that Biden needs.
James Conner mentioned that these riots might help Trump win as a ‘law and order’ president. I think this is true. The Silent Majority hates what they’re seeing on the news right now. Four cops getting shot in St. Louis overnight isn’t going to make these older, silent voters want to vote Democrat. If anything, it’ll make them more cautious about everything they do, every dollar they spend.
At least the St. Louis cop shootings were minor injuries; an officer shot in the head in Vegas last night is now on life support.
I think we’re going to see monumental riots this month, and monumental blowback against them, mainly from the police, national guard, and eventually military. I suspect much of this will kick into full gear with the full moon this coming Friday, June 5.
Things will continue to spiral out of control on all sides as we approach the summer solstice new moon of June 21. I suspect Saturday the 20th will be one of the worst rioting days, and one with the most blowback from authorities. I suspect we’ll see a lot of death on both sides.
The terrible situation we now find ourselves in probably won’t begin to de-escalate until sometime around the next full moon, which is Sunday, July 5.
I don’t know what kind of Independence Day we’ll have this year, but I suspect it’ll be quiet and subdued as we reflect on how much the country has changed over the month of June, and how many needless deaths came about during those turbulent weeks.
And of course there’s the virus.
The media has been hyping the second outbreak idea for some time now, and I suspect we could see that happen, perhaps stemming from the rioters. I dunno.
But what if a second wave doesn’t come, even though all those rioters weren’t social distancing?
For the powers-that-be, that could prove terrible, perhaps even pricking the bubble they created that’s telling us the virus is the real problem in the world.
After a week of watching the US news, I think we know that’s not the case.
