Laughing at Peons
“Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Kevin Hart, Dwyane Wade and Sylvester Stallone were served with the notices for exceeding 150% of their monthly water budgets at least four times at their Southern California properties, said Michael McNutt, the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District’s communications manager.
Requests for comment from the celebrities were not immediately answered.”
Do we need these people…and if so, for what?
If they were dead and gone tomorrow…would your life change?
Why do we allow the corporate media to convince us that these people are talented, important, or special?
Because they’re not.
The Kardashians are some of the worst. Completely talentless individuals that provide no value for the world.
Why do we even pay attention to these people?
Why?
Universities have become evil.
They only care about profits. They use young people and spit them out. They’re ruining this country.
- Did you know that for every dollar a college gets in student loans, they raise tuition by 65 cents?
- Did you know that for every dollar a college gets in Pell Grants, they raise tuition by 40 cents?
Why do they do this?
Because they don’t care about their customers. They don’t care about young people. They don’t care about America.
Neither does Biden.
Now everyone with student loans will get $10,000 wiped clean. Democrats - buying votes 80 days before an election.
What about all us that were responsible and paid our loans off through hard work and discipline?
We get nothing.
Sends a helluva message, doesn’t it?
Student loans aren’t the problem; they’re just the symptom.
Greed is the issue. And we aren’t even addressing it.
Another Teetering Leg Breaks
How many wobbly legs can America stand on after we just broke one today?
Because the message the government just sent to Americans is, ‘You’re an idiot if you pay off debt!’
I mean…why work hard full-time and then do a part-time job on the weekends so you can get out of debt?
Why do that when you can just wait until the government bails you out?
Why work hard anymore? What’s the incentive?
Why should I work hard when the guy next to me doesn’t and then gets free handouts to fix the mistakes he made previously?
What message does that send?
Division
Do you ever notice that most of the decisions made in this country are meant to divide us?
Now we have those paying off loans fighting against those that already have.
In reality, we both should be fighting the people that thought those loans were a good idea.
Each time a corporate news story comes out, each time the government passes a law…we shouldn’t divide against each other and bicker.
We should team-up and fight those shoving this shit down our throat.
That’ll wake up the rich and powerful elite real quick.
You know they’re scared shitless of you. You know it with certainty. You don’t need a big wall and gated community and private security.
But they do.
It’s clear that our theater chains are in a huge mess.
Box office receipts are down 30% at the same time 30% fewer films are going directly to theaters. Many now go to streaming, and if they don’t, they get there pretty damn fast.
Used to be you’d have to wait about 6 months from theater to rental. Now it’s a matter of weeks.
Cineworld, which owns 9,000 theaters in 10 countries, is filing for bankruptcy. It’s the second-largest chain, with $1.8 billion in revenue and $8.9 billion in debt.
Doesn’t take an MBA to figure that one out.
But Hollywood can’t figure it out. They put out trash and expect you to pay $15 to $20 for a ticket and then more for cancer-causing snacks.
The pandemic made most around the world realize they don’t need that shit in their lives.
Personally, I hope we see a lot fewer actors getting $20 million a picture. That’s sick.
And we will. Actors are expendable. It doesn’t really matter if it’s Tom Cruise in a new Top Gun or not.
The local media in western Montana is a joke.
RD did a better write-up of the marathon City Council session on Monday than the Missoulian and Missoula Current combined. The TV news sites aren’t even worth looking at most of the time.
I think there’s a real opportunity here for journalistic-minded entrepreneurs.
Look how shitty the local newspaper is. Each night - they only update after 7 PM - they put a homepage article up that typically has stories and images from…Texas, or D.C., or just about anywhere but Montana. Then they try some wordplay to try and make the image connect with us.
It’s all bullshit. Everyone knows it.
This might be a real opportunity to challenge some of the big dogs, get the message out, raise awareness in the community, and create a new platform for news.
The hardest part is getting the word out that there’s a new source of information. With a dedicated team of writers doing it each day, though, it could happen.
I think people are hungry to know what’s actually going on.
Betterment
In two weeks I have the CompTIA A+ exam, the first part. It’s an industry standard for getting your foot in the door of the IT industry.
A couple weeks ago I did my ITF+ certification, which is just an easier version.
The whole idea is to improve my skills so I can increase my income. I do all the studying in my free time with materials I bought and use online. I also pay for the certification exams.
It’s tough stuff and I’ll see if I can pass.
