Time had an article up last week that asked how long the impeachment process would take.
They figure that it could end before the Iowa Caucus, or it could drag on past the 2020 election.
Mostly, it comes down to how long Congress wants to take. They could move fast; they could move slow.
Time figures there are four stages of the process:
- “The Congressional investigation, which is currently underway; the full House vote on articles of impeachment; the delay before the Senate trial begins (if impeachment proceeds); and the length of a prospective trial itself.”
The site gives you sliders so you can mess with the dates yourself. If you make the process as quick as possible, it’ll end October 28...less than three weeks from now.
We know that won’t happen.
Mostly, the House can move as fast as it wants to - and it behooves them to do this - while the Senate can drag its feet for as long as it wants to.
It makes sense for the Senate to drag this on...at least until March.
Super Tuesday is March 3.
If Dems don’t have their impeachment process wrapped-up by then, well gosh...it’s only going to empower Trump and embolden his supporters. And the presidential candidates will talk about nothing else until then but impeachment. They certainly won’t talk about the issues in your life.
The thing is, Nancy Pelosi knows she has no other choice than to do impeachment.
Right now, Nancy Pelosi is simply covering up for the misdeeds of others. Mostly what we're talking about here is the nefarious Clinton Foundation. We never did get to the bottom of whatever happened during the 2016 election with all the various collusion and how Hillary managed to cheat and steal and lie her way to the nomination.
My, how Bernie got shafted. And now his heart's giving out on him. Clinton got him in ‘16 and his health got him in ‘20. He's done.
Biden is done, too. All he can do now is defend himself and his son about what they did or didn't do in Ukraine. He won't have time to talk about the issues, and he was doing a terrible job of that before this all started.
It'll fall to Elizabeth Warren after that. She's a pathological liar. I can't think of a single person that would want to lie, claiming they were Native American...but she did. Trump will take her out easier than anyone else.
That's why Hillary will try and get back onto the stage. It's no mistake she has a new book out, and that she's doing the rounds talking it up...and herself. Trump will beat her again, if the courts don't get her first.
Thing is, Trump is a smart guy and he's going to make this impeachment process backfire on the Democrats and specifically Nancy Pelosi and how much she's trying to cover up for Biden and Hillary and all the rest of these corrupt politicians we've had for years and years, politicians who only seem to enrich themselves while they're in office.
If this process continues, the lid is going to come off and then I think we're going to finally get the truth. I think a lot of seriously strong Democratic people are going to have to resign in shame and there might be some prison time for some.
I hope so.
Anyways, we know that if this impeachment process continues all the way into the primaries and up to Super Tuesday, and perhaps even past Super Tuesday, it’s only going to help Trump.
When was the last time you heard Democrats running for office talk about the issues?
They don't.
They don't have any issues to run on besides their monumental level of hate for Trump. This is the only issue that they care about.
You don’t hear Dems around the country talking about the main issues that you care about, just Trump. Sometimes the talking points do center on things in your life, like the money in your pocket, your low paying job, your crappy healthcare, how you’re at your wits-end because you're taking care of the kids all day and childcare costs are through the roof!
None of these things are important to Democrats in Congress. Oh, these things might make a few rounds of talking points with some of the more local or statewide candidates. But those running for president?
C’mon!
That might take away from the time they can use to bash Trump. We know that’ll get them on the highlight reel of CNN or MSNBC, not the issues you care about.
And let's not forget the influence of the planets.
The day after Christmas we're going to have a solar eclipse and we already see some astrologists saying this could have some turbulent effects upon the market, right there on National Return Day.
This is great for Dems, as they have nothing else to beat Trump with. A recession might be the only thing...though if impeachment is still happening, I'm not sure.
Something else we need to think about is the Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto alignment that's happening on January 12. This is going to become even more spectacular by March when we have a Quadruple convergence of the planets, as Mars will join with the other three planets.
These alignments have always been big in history. They’re often called Great Conjunctions.
- We had one back in 1284, ushering in the end of the High Middle Ages. Twenty years later, the Templars were overthrown.
- We had one in 1940 as well, just at the world was ramping up for another war.
- Most of our presidents that die in office do so during a great conjunction, though Reagan was merely shot and survived, while George H.W. Bush had no problems.
Remember, until modern times, astrologers were some of the highest members of a ruler’s cabinet, or court or whatever you want to call it.
Here in Montana those stars will be shining down, and the planets will be moving through the big sky.
We have some serious problems with the Democrats and their chances in 2020. Perhaps you saw the recent Big Sky poll of 303 voters that Dems hyped-up on social media because it had Bullock beating Trump.
Most of us know Bullock will never get the nomination.
What didn’t get a lot of attention was how well Steve Daines is doing, with 64% support so far.
What’s equally interesting is how little support any of the current Democratic candidates have against Daines. In fact, what’s so funny is that Jack Ballard - a guy who's already dropped out of the race - is getting 18% support, the highest of any of the Dems now running.
Now, to put this in perspective...the next two Dems are each getting 9%. This is the black, refugee figurehead mayor of Helena and the guy who killed another guy with his campaign rollout.
Someone with some popularity with Montanans needs to get into this race on the Dem side unless the Dems want a serious embarrassment next year. Even if they do get a viable candidate, I’m sure Daines will win with close to 20% of the vote.
When it comes to the governor's race we see that Greg Gianforte is already 12% ahead of Mike Cooney. Hillary, Jr. is getting 8%, which is about 4 times less support than Gianforte is getting.
I hope Whitney Williams stays in this race and gets the nomination. Gianforte will win in a landslide.
I don’t think any Dems are going to win in Montana next year, mainly because the impeachment process will so sour Republicans - and embolden them to vote - that Trump will win in a landslide and carry all down-ticket races on his coattails.
