There was an interesting letter to the editor in the IR today about frustration with Montana Democrats, and I agree with it. I feel Gov. Bullock needs to spend more time in Montana, focusing on getting a legislative majority so he can get his agenda through, and possibly better chances for the Democratic gubernatorial candidate that will come on the stage sometime next year. Currently Bullock is spending too much time chasing the presidency, which I don't feel he has a chance at.
Susan Collins of Maine just announced she will vote for Kavanaugh, and Joe Manchin of West Virginia is going to vote yes too. Even with Daines and his daughter's wedding, Kavanaugh will get confirmed tomorrow. So the liberal smear campaign didn't work.
Greg, did you read Nathan Kosted's post on Montana Post yesterday? Here's a bit from it:
"Suddenly at 6:30 pm eastern Steve Daines realized he must attend his daughter’s wedding instead. It is fairly obvious that the original schedule was an intentional lie. Steve Daines has known the date of daughter’s wedding for at least several months, if not longer."
When I read this and other stuff on Daines and his daughter, it really does look like Democrats don't care much about family and family values.
This Montana history blog is working its way up through time.It began in March 2013 with the early geology of Montana and continues on toward recent Montana history. Currently we're edging up into the 1990s.If you'd like to read more about Montana, check out my old 2014 Montana Election Blog.
