Phil Drake over at the Great Falls Tribune had the story on Friday, October 23.
As far as I know, no one else did. The first I heard of it was this morning when someone sent me the link.
Well, shit – how ya gonna beat that?
If you’re Greg Gianforte, the man that’s “running” against Bullock in 2016, you wouldn’t want to.
We know that Gianforte hates the idea of anything that goes against the Bible, and being gay is a big one.
The problem for Gianforte is that most people in Montana could give a fuck.
Yeah, this is not an issue.
- Struggling to pay the bills at the end of the month;
- Scraping to get by year after year at a dead-end job;
- Working a couple jobs just to make end’s meat.
The good news for Gianforte is that Bullock isn’t focusing on these issues too much, or at least as much as I think he should.
Is Gianforte?
It seems to me that his whole jobs plan revolves around giving breaks to established businesses so that they can have workers here. I’m still not sure of the particulars on that.
Honestly, those jobs suck.
I have that kind of job. It’s tons of work for low pay and even less respect. Do I need to add that there’s no benefits either?
Yeah, looks like Bullock will probably take 2016 in Montana.
I’m not too sad about that. After I wrote up Greg Gianforte: Turning the Negatives into Positives last month I kind of got sickened by Gianforte, turned off by the man.
His positions are so quaint, bygone, and downright obsolete that I just don’t see how he’s going to attract the urban voters necessary to win.
At the same time, Bullock can’t win the rural voter to save his life.
This is a common Democratic failing, one that’s come about through their writing-off of the rural areas more than two decades ago.
You can argue that gerrymandering made this all-but-necessary, but that’s bullshit. Mainly it was their own laziness coupled with their intransigence – with a dash of high-mindedness thrown in – that led to this mess.
So what can be done?
Isn’t it obvious?
Raise a shit-ton of money, hire slick TV ad producers, and then pay the networks all the money you have left to run that shit 24/7.
Propaganda always gets the job done. It’s the American way.
