I suppose you could say that they’d already broken down well before them, but if you were to look on Twitter, you’d see that they’d really broken down. It was fun to watch!
Politicians are dogs on leashes, and you hold that leash. You hold it when you vote, and you hold it when you choose to give money to their campaign. They send you a bit of that leash in the mail, and if you donate, they send you more. The Koch Brothers have lots of leashes, and they’re tight and the dogs on the other end react quickly.
So you saw a lot of that today, but more along the lines of what you’d see at a horse race. People are shouting at their picks, waving their tickets, and really letting you know that they’ve got some money on this. So when you see things descend into chaos on Twitter, that’s all that really is – fans urging their horse on, while at the same time browbeating the other horses, and fans thereof.
It’s complicated, but no one ever said politics was going to be easy. Well, it can be easy, you just need a lot of money, and that tight leash in your hand. But if you don’t have that, you have to do a bit more work…like we saw today.
Oh, Lord be praised! It looks as though all of our problems will be solved and they will be solved tomorrow, starting at 7 AM. Thank you, Jesus, thank you.
