Update #2 (Apr 10): I was told today that the Secretary of State's office will have up-to-date House lists for 2016 in a few weeks. This means you will know who is term-limited, which seats are open, and who will by trying to make the jump to the Senate.
Who is running for political office in Montana in 2016?
It’s a good question, and until I did some research today…I had little idea. Now I do, and I’d like to share that with you.
That’s a good point, and since March Madness is over, why don’t we start putting up the brackets that really matter, the 2016 political office? Here’s what something like that might look like:
Anyways, you can see that the Democrats have things pretty well worked out…except when it comes to the PSC. But then they didn’t have things very well worked out there last time. I think the party should have done a much better job supporting that one race we had against Brad Johnson. He should have been easy to beat, and I blame the party for not publicizing that race enough.
Anyways…what’s going on with that Supreme Court? That turned into a real shit storm last time, and it probably will again this time. I think both McGrath and Cotter are running again…please correct me if I’m wrong.
And please, can someone get some candidates lined up to go against Zinke? If I had about $2 million I’d do it, but I’m plum broke right now. That still didn’t stop me from giving $20 to Jesse Laslovich today. Maybe I’ll give $20 to Melissa Romano next week…though I was sure Amanda Curtis was going to be our next OPI head. What happened to her? I hope she smears Zinke under her highboots, but that’s just me.
Wishful thinking aside, I think it’s a pretty solid lineup. There’s no skeletons in the closet, right? I sure hope we get some sign of who’s running against Bullock, too. I kind of like the idea of Gianforte because he’s so archaic.
