Mike Jopek is going to die.
We all are.
It’s a fact of life - all that lives is born to die.
Sadly, Mike is spreading this fear of death to anyone that will listen.
He’s doing this on social media...Twitter.
I encourage you to visit his Twitter profile and scroll through the past week or so of his tweets.
Here are a few, to give you an idea:
Went to Costco to pick up mom-in-law’s medicine yesterday. Parking lot filled up 15 mins before doors open. Store busy right away, people not talking, keeping distance, separated by shopping carts. Half hour after open, TP sold out again. Moms that got some seemed happy. #mtpol

Went to Safeway and Walgreen to pick up some stuff for mom in-law. Safeway clerk wearing mask and gloves, no wipes left at door. Walgreen checker hacking all over, no wipes or pump at checkout. No sick pay, I guess. We’re so ready? #mtpol

“One model from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) suggested that between 160 million and 210 million Americans could contract the disease over as long as a year.” #mtsen https://t.co/YrQ0ixdWGW

Went to Post Office to pick up package. Clerk lifted collar and hacked into shirt, no wipes or sanitizer available. How does one sanitize rural mail delivery during isolation? #mtpol

Doom and gloom...and fear.
My oh my...this man is afraid.
I’m not exactly sure why. He’s not exactly a high-risk individual.
Mike used to put out a tweet or two a day. Now he’s going full-bore, however, and sending out his ‘spread-the-fear’ tweets every couple of hours.
I liked it a lot better when he just put out his gardening photos. Those days are long past - the fear has taken hold in the Jopek household.
I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised by this. The man is 55-years-old, after all...and while this doesn’t put him in the overall high-risk category, he is still scared to death over this.
His Mormon faith is not easing his fears.
You would think hardcore Democrats like Mike would think about FDR and his phrase, “we have nothing to fear but fear itself.”
But we’re not thinking rationally right now. One look at Mike’s Twitter account makes that abundantly clear.
Beginning last Thursday, Mike lost it and began to infect others with his fear.
He thinks he’s helping, but he’s not.
Many Americans are just like Mike - out of their mind.
They’re afraid and they want you to be afraid too. I’m quite surprised that these individuals made it so far into adulthood, or were able to hold down full-time jobs for so long.
Bunch of Chicken Littles.
But then I’m a 38-year-old man that takes care of his body.
Why should I be afraid?
I shouldn’t.
And I’m not.
There are enough people in this country being afraid for me. I don’t need to add to it.
P.S.
Now, a quick note for the Gen Xers and Millennials:
Thank God, thank God!
Finally, something is coming along that will finally get the Baby Boomers to step off the stage.
Most will take themselves out of the workplace for a few weeks, but this will turn into early retirement.
The rest of us can finally move into their full-time, managerial positions with paid time-off, sick leave, retirement and other benefits.
There’s a good chance that many of the Boomers will die. This will ease the housing crisis, allowing many of us to finally buy a home at a decent price.
Trump, Biden, Bernie and all the other hacks in the District of Criminals have a strong chance of getting this and dying from it.
Let us thank our lucky stars that these people will be leaving us for good.
If we’re really lucky, this virus will kill millions.
The old will go, the young will take over.
The planet will begin to heal itself. The environment will improve. Alternative energy will be explored.
None of these things will happen with the Baby Boomers in charge.
Their time is coming...fast.
Thank God.
