No, I haven’t added any new content, but I have resized the text and images. Actually, I’ve just changed the formatting around from one style to another, but I won’t bore you with the details of this.
What’s important is that the books are a bit shorter in length, and this is because the text size has gone down slightly. The good news is that the production costs of those books have also gone down, and so have the prices.
I set the prices for these, based upon the minimum that I can set. Hustlers and Homesteaders, for instance, has a minimum list price of $13.03. It’s a long book, coming in at more than 350 pages.
Yeah, it used to be about 425 pages, but I reduced that. Oh well.
The price, however, has gone from $16.95 on that one to $15.95. Here’s how my royalties are calculated for that:
So that allows me to lower the price and pass those savings on to you. I’ve done so, by $1 on that book. Priests and Prospects has also gone down in price, from $15.95 to $14.95. In fact, that one gave me some problems with the print cover, and it got unpublished for a few days this past week. And that caused the used price to skyrocket:
I’ve kept the price for the first two volumes the same, at $10.95. Book 1 will eventually go down in price, perhaps after Book 5 comes out. Also, I’ll be expanding that book sometime in the near future, profiling more of national politics as well as early fur traders. But we’ll talk about that another day.
Until then, I hope you’ll like this new look and feel to the books. Why not check them out? And if you have the old editions…perhaps it’s time to upgrade.
Thanks for reading!
