There’s a blog somewhere in Montana called Alt-Market, and it’s written by someone named Brandon Smith.
Yesterday he put up a piece called Red States Are Fighting Back Against The Reset – What Does This Mean For The Future?
It’s a long read and I want you to read it all. Here are some excerpts:

The article goes on from there. I really enjoyed it, and think it’s a clear picture of what’s likely to come. I’m glad I live in a red state, and I hope it stays red. Like the author suggests, I hope a lot of the progressives will move to the blue states, where they can feel comfortable.
Brad Johnson’s gotta be feeling a little uncomfortable this morning, probably a bit defeated, and maybe even a bit glum and feeling silly.
You see, yesterday morning he announced that he’d be running for the new U.S. House seat we’ll get in 2022.
A few hours later, Ryan Zinke came along and popped his balloon, announcing that he’d be seeking that seat as well.
And with that, I think the 2022 House race for the western district is already wrapped-up, despite the 5-member district-drawing board not even being selected yet.
Brad doesn’t stand a chance.
Back in ‘14 when the seat was last open (Daines was making the jump to the Senate that year), a total of 5 Republicans ran for the spot, and two Democrats. A total of 131,000 Republicans voted in the primary, and Zinke got 43,000 votes, or 33%. His nearest competitor was Corey Stapelton, with 29%, and Matt Rosendale nipping at his heels, with 28%.
All the runner-up GOPers that year have since been elected to statewide office, all aside from Drew Turiano. Driscoll and Lewis were the two Dems that ran that year. Where are they now? Who knows...who cares?
It’s the same story with the Dems that ran in ‘12 for the seat when it was open after Rehberg gave it up to go after Tester that year. A total of 7 Democrats came out of the woodwork to run, and where are they now?
People like Franke Wilmer, Kim Gillian, Diane Smith, Rob Stutz, Dave Stroihmeier, Sam Rankin, Jason Ward.
Remember any of them? The only one that’s still anywhere is Stroihmeier, much to the chagrin of Missoula property owners.
What I’m getting at is that the Dems don’t have a bench, the GOP does. And this will become painfully apparent to the Dems in ‘22 when they try to get enough candidates to run for both House seats.
It’ll be a disaster, with a lot of recent transplants coming out of the woodwork, trying to convince us that we care about them. People like Whitney Williams.
My, she sure spent a lot of money last year trying to hoodwink us into thinking she cared about the state she recently transplanted herself into.
We haven’t heard much from her since then, have we? In fact, we’ve heard nothing. Why is that?
The reason is simple - she doesn’t care about Montana.
If she did, she’d be writing letters-to-the-editor, donating to local campaigns, and working to get Democrats elected.
But she’s not doing any of that.
It’s not rocket science; it’s just that she doesn’t care, never did.
Montana’s full of people like that, always has been.
And now voters are expected to get their marching orders from people like Pat Williams, a guy who gave up the seat a quarter-century ago. Candidates will of course have to get theirs from a different, Williams...Kalifornia Kathleen.
Personally, I don’t understand the appeal. Is it the dog she’s always with...maybe that old camper she drives around in?
This ain’t Nomadland; it’s Montana. And Montanans rejected Kalthleen in 2018, and when she ran again in 2020, 3% fewer people voted for her.
But that’s kind of misleading. In 2018, she got 233,000 votes but in 2020 she got 262,000.
It’s just that the person she ran against each time - our current governor - got 256,000 and 339,000 votes those years, respectively.
In ‘18 she got 46% of the vote and in ‘20 she got 43%. She got more votes than before, but lost by a greater percentage.
Why? Because the GOP was just so much more popular.
Why? Because of all the whack-jacko news coming from the Democrat-controlled cities, things like nightly/weekly/monthly riots and the idiotic defund the police movement. Oh, and should we mention the total capitulation of law and order to the whims of the mob?
Even Jon Tester has chastised Democrats for these shenanigans, telling them it’ll cost them big time in the long-run, and he’s not wrong.
Any Democrat that’s thinking of running for the new U.S. House seat in 2022 that’s waiting to see what Kathleen Williams is going to do is an idiot. Her time in Montana politics is now over.
I suspect we’ll see a clamoring of ‘I’m-lefter-than-thou’ Democrats running for that seat here real soon, probably starting this fall.
Most will be termed-out legislators, people like Ellie Hill and Tom Winter. I suspect John Mues will try his hand again, hopefully with a more sucessful campaign rollout. Anyone that's termed-out someone will give it a shot.
I suspect Whitney Williams might come back to the state from whatever globalist retreat she’s been at.
I doubt Bullock will leave his dark money PAC for another try at Congress, but then I never thought Zinke would leave his gold company. Some of them always have to be in the spotlight. Imagine having to live with that mental illness.
Another great story came across my desk yesterday, this one written by someone in Ontario called What Will We Lose?. In that province, kids have been out of school for over a year, the elderly have been locked-up just as long.
“The worst aspect of my personal situation so far is that my elderly mother has been basically imprisoned in a care facility for over a year, unable to see any family save for myself and my brother...The last time she was allowed outside, almost 8 months ago, she was in the presence of a "minder" who kept us 6 feet apart, masked and who afforded us no privacy. I will lose my mom soon, she may die alone, forcibly confined with simple pleasures like walks in a park, the chaotic, non-judgemental love of grandchildren with their extra exuberance on holidays and birthdays all but eliminated.

My children are also no longer allowed in school even though kids are not and never were at risk and at the moment, over 75% of our schools in Ontario did not even have a single "case" when last in session. They are not only losing education but also social skills, study skills, valuable daily interactions and life lessons as well as exercise and fresh air and tragically, a large portion of that small, finite amount of time where they could just simply be kids.
I feel despair most days when I see my daughter, perched at the dining room table in front of a laptop ready to sign into virtual school, on her own and alone. Our wonderful, neighbourhood school sits shuttered while my daughter emulates the routine of an office worker at the age of 8. At the end of the day we can sometimes catch ourselves almost berating her like low level managerial assholes for not paying attention and fooling around during the day with the computer. For Christ sakes, what have we become as parents?
My 5 years old son cannot even last a 20 minute lesson online by himself. I initially felt frustrated that he could not persist in the same fashion the other young innocents can in these disembodied zoom classes but now I could be more accepting of this except that we both have to work during this "school time" and we need him to be occupied. Maybe this lack of digital "focus" speaks to how little screen time he had prior to this abomination of online "learning" or maybe it is simply because he is just 5 years old and he has no business being treated like this.”
I feel bad for this man and his family...but what can I do? What can any of us do in the face of this tyranny, this taking away of our lives, this ruining of our livelihoods and our sanity?
I think the best thing is to stand up and say you’re not going to take it anymore, you’re not going to go-along. You’ll resist as much as you can.
I do that by writing on this site, about the only thing I can do. I know, it’s pretty meaningless and pointless, but it’s something.
Currently, most Americans are resisting by not taking the jab. Mobile hospitals are closing down, and the places that are open - that can accommodate 3,000 doses a day - can’t even do 200.
There’s no demand for this poison, especially after the blood clot news with one of the brands. Now 73% of Americans don’t want to take that particular shot, and I don’t blame them.
Imagine being completely healthy, but being so afraid of this virus because the corporate media (which makes most of their profits from Big Pharma) spent the past year browbeating you into submission that you had to take this shot once available?
And then you get a blood clot which leads to a stroke and now your mobility is permanently disabled.
This is why so many have vaccine hesitancy.
To get over this, the government will eventually have to mandate these vaccines, or at the very least, corporations will force you to have one if you want to go into their stores or work for them.
That’s why it’s been so important over the past year to destroy all the mom-and-pop small businesses. That way workers will have few options besides the large corporate behemoths.
Alas, that plan seems to be falling apart as more and more people are realizing the virus isn’t that bad, it’s going away, the country is reopening, so why even bother with the damn shot?
This won’t be allowed to continue for long, I’m sure of it. Perhaps some of that strain from India will get here soon, start killing so many we have to burn them in the streets, and we’ll go into another large lockdown phase.
That’s what the powers-that-be want...for another lockdown, for more reliance on the corporate-government structure that’s taken over whatever form of representative democracy we once had.
I wonder how many will fight against this? I suspect many in the red states; very, very few in the blue states.
So far in America, we’ve given out 144 million of the first dose and 92 million of the second.
So that means 27% of the country has been fully vaccinated.
Michigan is a state that says it won’t allow reopening until 55% of the population is vaccinated with at least one dose. This will surely kill-off whatever small businesses have managed to hang on, effectively making that one of the first, all-corporate states. Restaurants and bars have to wait for 60%.
Lawsuits should be filed over this.
And how long is it going to take to effectively double the number of people that have been fully-vaccinated? It took just a few months to get a quarter of the population, but now that’s slowed down big time.
At the rate we’re going now, I’d be surprised if Michigan gets up to 55% by the end of the year, though with that bully-of-a-governor of theirs, maybe they’ll do it sooner.
I think we have some terrible governors in this country right now, and Whitmer is near the top of the list. I’m just thankful the corporate media isn’t fawning-over Cuomo in New York everyday anymore. When the hell’s that state’s AG report supposed to be done, anyways?
This turned into a longer post than I thought. Here are some final observations:
- 34% of all income in this country now comes from the government, putting us on par with banana republics. This is not America; this is not sustainable.
- Many wonder when to pull out of the market before it crashes. Some figure the best time is in May. Others are saying before the Fed’s August retreat in Jackson Hole.
- Tourist spending in New York City fell 73% last year, resulting in $1.2 billion in lost tax revenue.
- The family of the woman killed by Capitol Police during the January 6 peaceful protest - Ashli Babbitt - is suing that organization for $10 million.
- A 71-year-old pastor in the UK was arrested and held in jail overnight for saying that marriage is between a man and a woman, thus violating the country’s hate crime laws against gays. Charges may be pending.
- The Idaho police officer who mocked LeBron James in a viral Tik-Tok video (purporting to call the woke NBA player before breaking up a knife fight to see if it was ok), has since raised nearly $200,000 via Gofundme, after he was suspended without pay from his job over the video. LeBron makes $9,760 an hour; the cop makes around $25.
- 51% of Americans think Joe Biden cheated his way into the White House, which breaks down to 74% of Republicans and 30% of Democrats. I’m amazed we have so many honest Democrats!
- Last year, 4% of the American West was experiencing drought. This year it’ll be 58%.
