The Montana Democratic Party released the following statement from Executive Director Sandi Luckey Thursday: “Ryan Zinke’s clownish corruption was so bad that he got fired by Donald Trump. He embarrassed Montana by gutting public lands in order to reward his special interest allies. Montanans will reject his latest bid to climb the political ladder in favor of a responsible Democratic leader who puts our values ahead of the lobbyists who packed Zinke’s offices in Washington D.C.”
So much to dig into here.
First, the MT Dems mention Zinke’s “clownish corruption.”
I’m sorry...but what corruption was that? Because last time I checked, Zinke was never charged with any crimes or misdemeanors. Mostly, it was just a rumor campaign against him...one started by the Dems. You know...it kinda reminds me of Russian collusion...another instance of Dems’ smoke and mirrors.
Did you know that Zinke actually quit, and wasn't fired? Yep, just more lies from the Dems...the 'Party of the People.' Um...which people?
I love this one: “He embarrassed Montana.” Oh...really? Because we voted to send him back to Washington in ‘16 after we first sent him there in ‘14. I’d bet $20 we would have sent him back in ‘18 as well. So...who is he embarrassing?
After that we hear about “his special interest allies.” Who are these? Why not just mention them? I suppose the reason they aren’t mentioned is because of the copy-paste press release, which can only be a certain amount of words. But you know what? I think the real reason is that the MT Dems have no proof of this. Yep, just another smear campaign, about the only thing the Dems are good at anymore.
One of my favorite lines in the whole spiel is: “in favor of a responsible Democratic leader.” Um...who is this? Because the GOP already has two candidates that have declared for that seat. The MT Dems have no one, no leaders...no one of responsibility. Why is that?
And finally...what exactly are "our values," and how do they differ from the values of the "lobbyists," according to the Dems? I'd love to hear that!
Sandie Lucky.
Do you think she cares about you? Do you think she cares about Montana?
I don’t. I think she gets paid to care, and like most people in politics, once she’s no longer collecting that paycheck, she’ll no longer care.
She’s a lot like Whitney Williams - they care while they’re in the game, but once they’re out, they stop caring. Let’s be honest - they never cared in the first place.
Let’s follow the money.
Sandi Lucky just goes by that name in the media. When it comes to campaign finance reports, she goes by the name Cassandra Luckey.
She gets paid $2,539 every two weeks.
You’d think with that kind of income, she could come up with some kind of viable strategy to help Dems win. Alas, all she can do is sling mud.
I’m sure that’ll win over a lot of independent and sitting-on-the-fence-Republicans...not!
The Montana Democrats send out fundraising emails to their core constituents not so they can win back the legislature or possibly take even one statewide office in ‘24...but to ensure Sandie makes her $60,000-a-year salary.
That’s all that’s important - keeping the favored people in the money.
In exchange for all that free money, Sandie has to do just one thing - pretend like she’s winning, pretend like she knows what she’s doing. Hence the statement to the press that I started this post out with.
Deep down, Sandie knows she can’t win, knows her Dems don’t have a chance in either ‘22 or ‘24...at least not unless they cheat, like in ‘20.
The most important thing for the Sandies of the world is to keep you thinking that Dems are going to win. If they can keep you thinking this, they can keep collecting their huge paychecks for sitting their fat asses down in their mansion in Helena.
This is a huge gift for Republicans.
Imagine if the Dems actually put someone in charge that doesn’t care about money; just cares about winning.
I don’t think the GOP would know what to do in the face of that, mainly because they’re so similar to the Dems - sell-outs to corporate America for campaign cash. Do you honestly think Don K would know what to do if someone that didn't care about money went against him? I don't, not for one second.
I hope the GOP realizes how lucky they are right now, with Luckey in charge. It ain’t gonna last forever. Eventually, a real leader will emerge in this state, one that will take the Dems back to the idea of ‘winning,' however ancient it may be for them now.
Alas, both you and I know that is a long, long time coming.
Until then, enjoy the leadership 'abilities' of Sandi!
