If we’re lucky, the vast majority of the 150 legislators meeting in Helena next month will die.
That’s what all the chicken-little Democrats are saying - ‘If the legislature meets, Covid will spread.’
Good.
My biggest question is…’Why the hell are we encouraging them to wear face masks or socially distance at all?’
Why are Democrats saying this?
Most of the legislators meeting in the capitol are Republicans, so...isn’t it a good thing if they get the virus?
Because then they have a good chance of dying. Then their seat is open. So that county will have to appoint a new GOPer. And maybe that one isn’t as politically savvy as the last. Maybe, just maybe, a Democrat could take that seat back during the next election.
Well, we can hope. But alas...the virus only kills 0.1% of the people it infects.
The good news is that if you’re over 65-years-old, your chances of dying goes up to around 10%.
And guess who makes up most of the legislature? Old folks with gray hair and wrinkly skin - covid’s favorite group.
Hey, if the GOP legislators aren’t worried and don’t want to wear masks...then let them. Same goes for the Democrats.
Because here in the real world where we actually make the income that pays their taxes, we don’t care.
We don’t care about legislators in Helena, because we know they don’t do anything for us at all. The only thing the legislature has done over the past few years that’s impacted my life is raising the speed limit to 80.
I know the legislators want to think that they’re important, and they desperately want you to share that opinion as well, but the bottom line is that they’re not.
I’m sure one of the first bills the legislators will introduce is one to increase their own pay. Here’s a list of the dross they’ve come up with so far.
So really, if the legislators meet or not...don’t matter to us here with our jobs stolen by the government.
Same goes if they live or die - it won’t make any difference for the vast, vast majority of Montanans.
White Horse
Joe Biden is going to ride in on his white horse on January 20 and he’s going to solve all our problems.
Mostly, he’s going to get rid of the virus.
How?
He’s going to keep trying the same things that aren’t working, hoping he might get a different result.
Take masks.
We know they don’t work. If they did work, then why does Montana’s daily covid graph look like this?
Now, I’m not a rocket scientist...but it looks like that graph just keeps going up and up and up.
WTF?!?
Because for the past five months in this state, the governor has forced everyone to wear a mask.
Maybe if we just close the bars a little earlier, this will change.
After all, here in Missoula we switched the closing time of bars from 12:30 AM to 10 PM a full two months before the governor ordered every other bar in the state to do the same.
Guess what that did for our covid numbers? It caused them to go up.
Maybe if we'd just started closing them at 9:59 it'd be a different story, or 9:30, or even 9. Hell, if we're just pulling numbers out of a hat, why not 5 PM?
Why even allow them to open at all?
We know science has nothing to do with it - it's all arbitrary. Or does the science really say that closing bars 2 hours early makes a difference? Where is that peer-reviewed report?
Of course, we know this is all bullshit. Closing the bars early had nothing to do with covid numbers going up, just as keeping them open a bit early had nothing to do with hit.
Same with masks.
Because if either of those two things stopped or even slowed the spread...then why hasn’t that been reflected in the case numbers and the graphs?
Use your head - because it’s not true.
Joe Biden is going to encourage everyone to wear a mask for the first 100 days of his presidency, thinking this will make the virus numbers go down.
Here in Missoula and much of the rest of Montana, we’ve been doing that for months and the numbers have only gone up.
Who do we think we’re fooling here...anyone besides ourselves?
