It’s interesting that we’re not really talking about the virus at all.
Let’s dig into some of the numbers that the local media is giving us, as well as some of the national outlets.
NBC Montana has several articles. One tells us that 70% of hospital beds in Missoula are full, and it could be 90% soon.
There are 24 covid patients at that hospital. They have 24 ICU beds, but just 7 of them are being used by covid patients, representing 29% of their capacity.
End of the world, isn’t it?
The other hospital in town has 8 covid patients, meaning we have 32 people in Missoula in the hospital with the virus.
This in a city of 75,000. So 0.001% of our population is hospitalized because of this virus.
Another article focuses on Yellowstone County, telling us that 5 people died - two in their 60s, two in their 80s, and one in their 90s.
Yellowstone County has 160,000 people.
When we meander over to CBS’s KPAX station news, we learn that 520 people in the state have died from the virus since this all started.
In total in the state right now, 435 people are in the hospital because of this virus.
Montana has 2,239 hospital beds, so covid patients are currently taking up 19% of our state’s capacity.
I’m willing to bet that more people are in the hospital right now for non-covid related reasons, but I don’t have a statistic for that.
Over 570,000 people have been tested for the virus in Montana since this all started.
More people have recovered from the virus than actually have it right now.
The worst day the state had was October 30, when 27 deaths were reported. Yellowstone County has had the most total deaths, with 105.
When you look at the world map, you see which countries are being hit the hardest.
I think a lot of it comes down to diet, and rice eating peoples vs. wheat eating peoples, and how this affects our digestive system, and in turn our immune systems.
But talk like that won’t net Pfizer a huge profit.
They’re going to charge the U.S. government $39 for each 2-dose vaccine treatment, and the first 100 million doses will earn the company $1.95 billion, with $14 billion in total worldwide sales expected for 2021 alone.
Nothing will stop that Big Pharma giant from rolling that vaccine out, and making those huge profits.
It’s in their interest that this virus continues as long as possible, and as unabated as possible.
They don’t care about you or your family; just money.
If we can keep people locked in their houses and cancelling holidays, then we can ensure no herd immunity comes and that outbreaks will constantly happen when we do periodically ‘open up.’
This means the virus will always make comebacks, something Pfizer wants.
Be wary.
