I’m happy to announce that my latest novel will be out on Tuesday, April 28.
It’s called Colter’s Winter and I’m very excited about this one. As you may know, I’ve been kicking this book idea around for nearly two years. The first time I mentioned it was on May 23, 2013, in a post called A New John Colter Montana Novel.
After that not much happened until late last year. I got started again, and that momentum was really pushed further by the map I got made. You can check that out in the post called John Colter Maps, but for now, check out the covers I have for this book:

The first one is the eBook cover, and I got that image from MarzenaPiworar, a woman I profiled in an earlier post about Deviant Art artists. She did an excellent job on that image, and I then turned that over to rk_design on Fiverr, who gave me that really cool POD cover.

Pretty cool, huh? Yeah, I decided to get some chapter page art done, and I have four of those squares:
I figure that adds a bit more to the book, makes it a little more professional, and just gives people a better reading experience. I’ll talk about the artist that made those in a post soon.
I’m really excited to get the proof copy in the mail next Wednesday. I’ll read through that with my pen, making note of any loose typos or formatting problems. Then I’ll approve the copies, publish the book on Amazon and all the other retailers, and let you know.
