Out of an abundance of caution and due to the global novel Coronavirus pandemic, Big Sky Words will be shutting down until further notice.
The decision to shut down Big Sky Words is cautionary. To date, Montana has no confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus, or COVID-19.
To date, no cases of Coronavirus have been spread via blogs.
That said, we must take an ‘abundance of caution.’ We don’t know what this virus is capable of, or how it’s mutating. The online spread could be right around the corner.
Again, I cannot express how sorry I am to report this news.
This site has not only become a staple read for voters in our state over the previous 7 years, but is a real pain in the ass for Democrats. This shut-down decision is solely for the health and safety of those around us and the public.
The goal of this shut-down is to ‘flatten the spike’ in cases here, and help ‘manage the disruption.’
I know that we have no cases reported in Montana as of yet, but we must take these abundances of caution.
Wash your hands and practice good hygiene as a regular part of daily life.
Practice ‘social distancing’ and avoid large crowds, which can be very difficult to accomplish online.
Rember, any ‘inconvenience’ is worth the benefit.
