Two reasons:
- One, I don’t have much to say.
- Two, my computer is dying on me.
I plan on getting a new computer tomorrow, so you shouldn’t be deprived of my unique voice for too much longer.
Yeah…big eye roll there.
So what is there to talk about?
Plenty.
I have to applaud James Conner for calling out Wall Street Democrat, Jon Tester, and his decision to abandon Single Payer.
I won’t be voting for Tester next year.
Our senior senator can’t do much for me.
Mostly he seems to focus on veterans. Hey, good for him.
I don’t have any fondness for our military, myself.
- For one, if you fight for your country we know your country won’t care for you when you get back.
- Another is that our military actually makes the world more dangerous. I truly think it’s the largest terrorist organization in the world, though the CIA might be larger.
- Finally, our military makes me sick.
Esquire had a good story this month on that old report about the Marines sharing nude photos of female marines.
No one was ever held accountable for that, though the Marine that helped break the story still has his fellow Marines offering a $500 bounty for nude photos of his wife and daughter.
This is our military.
Why Commandant Robert Neller hasn’t been fired is beyond me.
Why the 10 highest-ranking Marines below him haven’t been fired is beyond me.
Oh…that’s right – we don’t care about women in the military.
Hell, shouldn’t they be in the kitchen?
Yet 7% of the Marine Corps is women.
And my God do I feel sorry for them. Not only do their male counterparts not care about them, their leaders don’t, their representatives don’t, and the media doesn’t either.
There’s just too much going on with Russia to give a shit about female Marines that have nude images of them shared on social media.
I’m glad Trump is speaking out against Jeff Sessions. I hope that asshole resigns soon.
If Sessions hadn’t spoken out against legal marijuana, I wouldn’t give a damn.
But he did, so in my mind he’s no good and has to go. I bet it won’t be long.
Another one we’ll see go soon is John McCain.
No, it wasn’t an election that finally got rid of that fossil, it was his brain.
I hope he never sets foot in the Senate again.
I hold the same opinion for that old bag, Nancy Pelosi. Who she’s helping is a mystery to me.
In fact, I can’t think of a single congressman or woman that is helping the country.
The schmucks get paid $175,000 a year to work for a few months, plus they get the best healthcare in the world.
And the country only gets worse under their ‘leadership.’
The issue is money.
We’ve got to get money out of politics, we’ve got to get rid of Citizens United.
But we won’t.
Because our congressmen and women would rather take bribes (campaign contributions) than pass an amendment to get this done.
And we put up with it.
Hell, we enable them!
D’s and R’s – we won’t vote for anything but.
And then we wonder why things don’t change.
God, we’re stupid.
I was in Helena yesterday and enjoyed visiting the water park with my son.
We also enjoyed hiking up to the cave on Mount Helena.
Something I didn’t enjoy was hearing my mom complain about Steve Daines.
Seems that’s the fashionable thing to do for frustrated Democrats these days…if it’s not watching Rachel Maddow and speculating on when/how Trump will be impeached via the Russian 'scandal.'
It seems that ID and Cowgirl/boy are also playing up the anti-Daines talk.
I really don’t see what good this will do.
Isn’t Daines in office until 2021?
Why should he give a shit about regular citizens three years before his next election?
And considering he won in 2012 by 10.6% and again in 2014 by 17.9%, I just don’t see him going anywhere.
Maybe Schweitzer could beat him, but it sure the hell ain’t gonna be Bullock.
I had a good laugh when I saw the news about Bullock’s PAC.
You saw how the national GOP eviscerated Quist this year.
Do you think they’re not going to dredge up the same on Bullock?
I look forward to seeing that bloodbath, as well as the closet spilling its skeletons for all to see.
Personally, I think the yoga instructor relationship is the best route…though I was never able to get anything out of her husband, myself.
I hear its one of those ‘Helena secrets.’
Just what we need more of, eh?
Oh, and by the way…what are Bullock’s accomplishments?
Three legislative sessions with a failed infrastructure package, and the disastrous pick of John Walsh…which did more than anything to ensure Daines’ election?
Good grief.
But hey, at least Tracy Stone-Manning is leaving.
A District of Criminals crony will replace her.
Moving on…I see that Missoula taxes won’t be going up by 3.87% next year.
Instead they’ll be going up by 4.06%, with further increases likely.
(The Missoulian lists the increase as 4.02%, making you wonder what’s wrong with our media here).
I also see that my main opponent, Jon Wilkins, as well as his fellow Ward 4 representative, Jon Dibari, are speaking against this.
They’re smart.
They know I’m nipping at their heels and that my message of lowering taxes resonates.
Their message and actions to raise taxes is not.
I’ll begin knocking on doors again on August 1.
I think I’m going to change my pitch.
Instead of, “Hello, my name is Greg Strandberg…” I think I’ll just say, “Hi, I’d like to lower your taxes.”
And then we’ll just go from there.
