When we took a look last month we saw that Rosendale had raised $1.6 million to the Dem’s paltry $63,000.
That Dem in that race is Penny Ronning.
Never heard of her? I’m not surprised. No one in the media or in the Montana Democratic Party seems eager to get her name out to you.
I haven’t heard shit about her since she started running…whenever the hell that was.
And I don’t buy the excuse that she’s in the eastern district. The truth is that no one thinks she can win, so no one is throwing money or airtime at her.
I feel sorry for her.
The Independent candidate has actually raised twice as much as she has - $127,000. The Libertarian has $20,000.
The only thing exciting about this whole race was when one of the candidates died a month before the primary. That’s the most press the race got and it’s the most it’s gonna get.
Why the hell are we even wasting time talking about it?
I guess because it highlights just how incompetent Democrats are in this state.
There was a time, even a decade ago, when the Dems would have at least tried…would have at least gone through the motions of talking-up this candidate.
Now there’s nothing.
Livable Cities
The most important factors that make a city “livable,” or a great place to live, are culture & environment, stability, infrastructure, and healthcare. Education is also important…but not so much.
At least that’s how the young up-and-coming millennial writers at the Visual Capitalist feel in their post about the best and worst cities to live in.
They figure the best city is Vienna. The worst is Damascus.
In the US, Houston is pretty shitty these days.
57% of the people around the world live in a city.
94% of Americans plan to cut back on spending as inflation rears its ugly head. That means just 6% of Americans believe the bullshit from Biden about us not being in a recession.
72% of people that bought a home in 2020 or 2021 regret it, mostly millennials.
Streaming
It seems that 66% of American streaming service subscribers have subscriptions to three or more services.
Video-on-Demand is now a $35 billion industry in the US.
In 2021, 16% of US adults had subscriptions to five or more video streaming services.
It’s figured that in five years, we’ll have 458 million streaming subscriptions in this country.
Is that really the best use of our time…or money?
Baby Strength
How strong is Russia? They’re not. They’re incredibly weak.
I’ve told you this so many times before when it comes to demographics - if you don’t have young people, you’re screwed.
You don’t have soldiers, you don’t have people to grow food, you don’t have enough young people to take care of all the old people.
China and Russia have serious problems with this. So does most of Europe.
Russia is so desperate demographically that they are now offering $16,000 and an honorary title to women who have 10 children.
How many women are going to fall for that shit?
How much does it cost to have a child in Russia? How much to raise that child for just a couple years?
Probably a lot more than $16,000. But Russia is a poor country, so we shouldn’t be surprised they can’t/won’t offer more.
Russia has just $1 trillion in gross domestic product. The US has $25 trillion.
Russia has a birthrate of 1.8 per woman when they need 2.2 per woman for replacement levels.
In other words, this is a country in decline.
China is at 1.3 per woman, when they need 2.1 per woman.
China is a country in decline.
The US would also be a country in decline with our rate of 1.6, but we have millions of new immigrants to this country each year to offset that.
