On Sunday we decided to get out of town.
My wife, son and I drove up past Seeley Lake to go camping.
We figured we’d have a tough time finding a spot at any of the many places up there…and we did.
First we stopped at Lake Inez…but no luck there.
Next we stopped at Lake Alva…but all 40 spots seemed taken.
So we drove up to Lindbergh Lake…but that was full-up too.
Next came Holland Lake, but a family get-together had taken up all those spots.

So we drove back to Lake Alva and managed to get one of the spots that we thought’d been taken but really wasn’t.

Lake Alva
Lake Alva Campground has two loops with 20 campsites each. Here's the road between them, which is fun to walk at night in the dark
I like this campground because they give you lots of wood

Missoula to Lake Alva is a pretty easy trip...64 miles or about an hour
Tomorrow it’s off to Butte for a 4th of July get-together with the Strandberg Family.
