Nearly 8:30...the debate is almost over...thank God!
I don’t know how I watched the whole thing. It was horrible!
I knew in the first 5 minutes that it was going to be bad, with both of these old men going back and forth and the moderator powerless to do anything about it.
I think it’s clear Trump lost. He beat himself. His constant interrupting came off as bullying. He continually attacked, attacked, attacked...and I don’t think it came off well at all.
It was hard to watch, and a lot of Trump’s supporters were certainly cringing. I know I was.
Trump is going to have to change his style before the next debate. I hear he didn’t practice much for this one, and that’s obvious.
He got angry and frustrated and looked like a mega-asshole.
All Biden had to do was stay awake and not stumble all over his tongue, and he managed both of those things.
Biden won this debate and the polls - which were already favoring him (inaccurately, in my opinion) - are only going to favor him more.
Trump is going to lose some of the independent-minded, Reagan-Democrats that voted for him last time.
Biden is going to pick up people that were worried he’s going senile. Maybe they did pump him full of drugs beforehand...I dunno.
While Biden did come off as tired and slow-speaking, he was cogent, knew the questions, knew what Trump was spewing at him, and many times...knew he was winning.
Trump lost the debate. If he acts the same way in the next two debates, he’ll lose the election.
