UM continues to fail, and we all know it.

Are the two problems related? Personally, I think the administrators are the main problem.
I know nothing will be done to address this problem. Admin salaries will continue to increase, and there’s no reason for this.
Students aren’t going to UM, and I’m glad for that. The best thing for Montana families is to not send their kids to Missoula.
How does getting an ‘education’ in Missoula benefit students?
It doesn’t. Oh, for some it will, but for the vast majority it means getting a useless degree and going into debt to get it.
It takes a decade or longer to pay off that debt, meaning those students are paying bankers for a decade. That also means they’re not putting money into their local economy for big purchases, like cars or houses.
The administrators at UM like this. When Montana families are ruined by debt, administrators benefit. Actually, it’s their job to ensure that young Montanans go into debt.
If those students didn’t go into debt for useless degrees, those administrators would be out of a job.
My argument is that this is exactly what we need.
I hope UM sees a further decrease in students. It’s only when UM – and the community that relies on it – hits rock bottom that true change will come about.
And we’re a long way from rock bottom.

Who gives a shit?
I don’t. Most Montanans don’t. Most Americans don’t.
Just 800,000 people are living in America under the DACA protections.
That’s .02% of the American population.
The media feels this is the winning issue for Democrats. New York’s Chuck Schumer feels this is the winning issue for Democrats.
Good luck with that.
You know how I feel.
I spent over $1,000 and countless hours getting my Russian wife all the paperwork she needed to come to this country legally in 2013.
It’s a slap in the face to see all these illegal aliens coming into this country without paying a dime and without filling out a single form. Many don’t even speak English.
But those people are a key constituency of the Democratic Party. Yes, they are a minority, but Dems focus on minorities, not majorities.
It’s why they’re a minority Party, one getting smaller all the time.
If Lola Zinke is going to manage Troy Downing’s campaign for Tester’s seat, then it’s a good bet Downing will win.
I hate that.
I hate that a Californian who makes their living preying on poverty will become our next Senator.
We know that Jon Tester isn’t going to win again – veterans just aren’t going to be enough to carry him through (most are Republicans).
The money won’t pull Jon through, either. Oh, he thinks it does….as do all politicians that refuse to get rid of Citizens United or even try.
I want Jon to lose, but I don’t want Troy to win.
I don’t want anyone to win, actually. I think if anyone wins this seat, it’s a real loss for you and your family.
Tester wins, we have more corruption under the guise of money in politics.
Downing or any of the other GOP losers win, and we have the exact same thing.
Most of us know that it doesn’t matter if a D or an R represents us – our lives won’t change either way.
They don’t really represent us anyways – they represent the rich, ruling class. Those are the people that pay them to run for office anyways.
I’m not even that amused anymore by all the talking heads on either side. Again, whether they’re shouting for their guy or the other guy, my life doesn’t change.
Let’s wrap-up.
Perhaps you’re worried about the state’s lack of money and all the firefighting costs.
I’m not.
I could care less.
Doesn’t affect me any.
What does affect me are my 5 part-time jobs (yes, I added another this week) and the money I make from them.
With that money I can pay my bills and use what’s left over to buy some small items in my local economy.
The state has nothing to do with that. The feds have nothing to do with that.
Special session or not, I’ll be breathing in smoke for another month, maybe two.
I’m not affected by state budget cuts. Most people aren’t.
I’m sorry if you want me to play the victim, blaming everyone but myself for my problems.
