The book talks a lot about my experiences living and teaching in China from 2008 to 2013. It’s perfect for anyone teaching in China or planning to. And even people who are curious about teaching in China or the country in general will find something interesting.
The reason the book is called English Last is because that’s how I felt that English was prioritized by the time I left China. The attitude I saw employers take was really focused on money and not so much on how much the students were learning.
The subtitle is accurate. I’ll let you in on the places I lived, the things that I saw, and the students that I taught. You’ll get information about China from someone who’s lived there for 5 years.
So if you’re in the Middle Kingdom already, are planning to, or just want to read about it, pick up your copy of English Last today!
