Here you can find links to different SEO, content marketing, social media marketing, and other various articles from the past week that I think you might like.
This week there are 6 articles.
This week is also the last post in this nearly-two-year-long series.
The reason is simple.
I asked myself a very honest question this week: if I stopped putting up this weekly curation post, would you care?
The answer was no, you wouldn’t care.
Oh, you might be a little surprised that first Wednesday with no post.
You might even be a little miffed when you come back a week later and still see no post.
But you wouldn’t email me or comment or ask a question on social media.
Instead you’d just move on, going to another source of content.
I’m expendable, completely and utterly, 100% expendable.
Anyone can do what I do. Tons are, and a lot are probably doing a better job.
More than that, though, I just don’t want to do this anymore.
I don’t have to do it.
It’s turned into more of a chore to go to my sites each day, reading their posts, and choosing the ‘best.’
It’s boring.
I just don’t like it anymore, nor do I get any enjoyment out of it. I think that shows.
I was thinking this week as I was about to take Social Media Today off my bookmark bar – the site has lackluster content and has for some time, relying on so many guest posters that its brand has become tarnished – that I shouldn’t just take that site off my bookmark bar, I should take all my sites off.
That’s the SEO, social media, and content marketing sites.
Why not?
Hell, I’m not that interested in the stuff anymore and since my business income doesn’t rely upon it, what’s to stop me?
Nothing, nothing besides my own hang-ups and this idea that I somehow have to curate content for you, someone that I don’t even know…or really care about.
So this is the final post in this Midweek Content Roundup series.
Thanks for reading!
