For June I’d like to put out 4 books, although I’m not sure if I’ll get them all.
So what are these masterpieces of modern literature? I’m glad you asked.
- Fun English: 10 Fast and Easy ESL Games
- Ancient Chinese History: From Heaven to Earth, 8500 to 1046 BC
- G.I. Joe: Jungle Attack
- Flight 370
Yep, those are the 4 books I’d like to put out, and now I’m going to talk about them and show you the covers, in case you want to leave the room.
Fun English
You need them now when those damn kids are up out of their desks and screaming their heads off. You can’t watch movies forever, so you need some lessons that work.
Buy this book if you’re a slave to the English language industry. Alright…I’m done.
Well, I’m not – there’s also ESL teaching videos you can point out to people. Now I’m done.
Ancient Chinese History
Yeah, The Warring States Series of books gets a few buys here and there, and the box-set has actually been popular. What’s more, the third book – The State of Qin – ends on a cliffhanger, and has been sitting that way for several years now (I wrote it in 2011).
I hope by finishing this non-fiction history book I find my muse for the fictional stuff as well.
Unfortunately I ran into a problem. To tell what happened before the Warring States period I also need to tell what happened way back when.
So that’s why got another cover made, and I’ll probably shoot for August on that first book concerning the Zhou Dynasty in 1046 BC while putting out this book on June 27:
After that we explore the various deities, demigods, and demons in the Chinese pantheon before returning to earth to focus on the first two dynasties in China, the Xia and Shang.
It’s a fun ride, and I think you’ll enjoy reading a history about this important country, and one that’s easy to read and not boring.
If you have any other ideas to make it fun, I’m all ears.
G.I. Joe: Jungle Attack
What does that mean? Well, in these three books we’re just having action. For all of you old D&D players out there, this would be like a pure dungeon crawl.
Yeah, blood and guts and death and dying…that’s what this book has, and lots of it!
There’s a whole new roster of characters for each book, and that’s pretty much so I can have fun killing them all off.
I said things are going to get bloody, and if you haven’t picked up one of my $1.99 Kindle Worlds G.I. Joe books now would be the time.
I’m also hoping that Amazon will put out some better cover options this month. Some of their images are fine, it’s just the layout is lousy. But perhaps I’ll have to be the one to bite the bullet and just work with what they have. I know I can do better than what I have now.
Flight 370
Well, now I’ve got this cool cover:
Hopefully now that I got the tough projects from May finished I can focus in on some of these ‘funner’ projects.
Hey, maybe you’ll even buy a copy, although I highly doubt it. (Not you Neil).
Well, those are my 4 books, my 4 goals for the month. Hopefully I’ll get them all done. The full-length novel is what worries me, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.
