Today I’m doing a guest post called Whales, Mermaids, and Your Publishing Long-Tail on Elizabeth Spann Craig’s site.
For those of you who don’t know, Craig is an author of many mystery novels, most of them in the Cozy category.
What is a Cozy Mystery? Cozies are a niche genre of thrillers, though in these books they’re often in a small setting where everyone knows everyone.
Think of the baker being killed by the candlestick maker next door, a grisly murder at the county-fair feed auction, or a group of cats figuring out an age-old riddle. Yeah, there are a ton of books about cat detectives.
I don’t think Spann writes those, but she does have quite a few series and 9 books currently selling on Amazon. One, A Dyeing Shame, has more than 550 reviews! And I can tell from a quick look that she’s selling a lot better than I am.
So what does this guest blog post talk about? Well, it’s about whales and mermaids.
Some of you might remember me mentioning that back in February as a blog topic. Well, I wrote it out and thought it was pretty good, so decided to shop it around.
Thankfully the first site I asked took it. So if you’re interested in a unique take on self-publishing, check out this 1,100 word guest post on Elizabeth Spann Craig’s site today!
