Over the next month or so Derek is going to be rolling out a new service that I think lots of authors might be interested in. It allows you to create your own eBook covers in MS Word. Now, I know many don’t like Word and many think getting covers from designers is the way to go. I’m just throwing this out there as another option that might work for you.

This is a pretty cool PDF that’s 30 pages. It has tons of useful information when you’re trying to make your own eBook cover using MS Word. That’s what’s so wonderful for authors – you’re already used to writing in Word and know how all the functions work. Making covers there just makes sense.

It gives you a visual guide with easy explanations. I think this could be beneficial to lots of people, and I wish it would have been around in January when I was making my homemade covers.

You get that easy manual and then tons of templates. So in effect you’re able to take all those premade covers you see on other sites and change them yourself. I mean, if you’re just changing the titles and the author name, maybe adjusting the font a little, this is pretty good, and might save you some money.
I know a lot of people can put books out quickly. I do that, but some authors do it even faster. Romance and Erotica authors can put out short titles by the week, or sometimes even a few titles a week. I’m serious! For them having the ability to make quality covers on the cheap is probably quite enticing.

Free eBook Marketing Advice
Derek Murphy has been making covers for awhile and has been operating his own site as well. He knows about getting products out there in front of people, and the marketing tricks that will and won’t work.
