I’m not too happy at the moment because I’ve been kicked off of Kboards. Much of this stems from earlier posts and comments regarding other authors.
Lots of people don’t like what I say, but some people do. Unfortunately I hear far too much from the people that don’t like what I say. Sometimes you just have to blow your top.
I was really miffed when I got kicked off Amazon’s forum back in December. They were nice enough to send me an email telling me that I got kicked off for posting too many links to my site and to my Amazon books.
When I got kicked off Kboards this week there was no explanation.
Well, I’ve got more time to write my own stuff now, although I’m feeling a little rudderless this week. I felt the same way after Amazon, but after awhile I didn’t think about it much and actually got more done. I can’t help but think this will be the same way.
I’ve managed to power through a lot on my Montana book and Ale Quest in the past couple days. I might even be able to get Ale Quest out by next Monday like I’d planned.
Remember, we’re dealing with a shoestring budget here. There’s no editing being shipped-out and most of my covers are pre-made. If I finish writing a book I can edit it that day, go over it again the next, and then have it out the door after that.
Sure, there might be some mistakes (I’m almost positive there are), but at least another one is done and I can move on to something else.
One strategy I’ve been employing a lot lately is the 1,000 words before breakfast principle, and I’ll talk about that later for anyone interested.
Something else you might want to look into are writing books. The 10 books over on that wheel on the sidebar are a good place to start. I’ve been patching together a post about those, many of which I haven’t read, and I’ll put that up one of these days.
I’ve been writing this site for more than a year now (the first post was on March 4, 2013) and have 179 posts on this blog, 61 on the Montana blog, and 24 on the Montana Election blog.
Go back and read some of these earlier posts from March of last year to see the principles I set out and followed to get all those books you see on the homepage up on Amazon.
You can also see most of those writings in my book Write Now! 20 Simple Strategies for Successful Writing, available where all fine eBooks are sold.
