Cool – why not give some support?
An easy way to do that this holiday season is by clicking on this ad:
Yeah, it’s for Amazon.
I know we all like shopping locally, but sometimes that doesn't always happen.
Sometimes shopping happens online, and that often means Amazon.
When you click over to Amazon from my site and then buy something, I get a commission.
The reason for this is that I’m part of the Amazon Affiliate marketing program.
That allows website owners to get 4% of an item’s list price in earnings.
So if you buy something for $20 I get 80 cents. If you buy something for $100 I get $4.
That commission goes up to 6% if I direct 6 sales to Amazon, and it goes up a bit more after that if there are more.
Mostly I get income from this because of my mountain man fur trapping book posts.
It’s not much – about $10 a month or so.
Around the holidays, however, that number goes up. I think last December I made about $25 in people buying from Amazon after clicking over from my site via a link.
So I’ll have rotating Amazon ads on the homepage all month and one each on the sidebar of the Montana and Writing blogs.

Thanks!
