Well, I’ve pissed Shawn off something royally in the past, or else he has no social media acumen. It all started today with this tweet:
Some idiot wrote on the Helena Public Admin bldg. This is a crime not a way to protest. #mtpol #Ferguson #mtnative pic.twitter.com/b4KBp59GDz

Analyzing a Twitter Profile
Anyways, it was a good tweet, showing this bad graffiti. What's so bad about it?
- I went to favorite the tweet (#1) but was blocked (#2). I was also blocked when I tried to retweet it.
This is just terrible Twitter strategy, no matter how many users you hate. I mean, I could get that message out to hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of people. I don’t have that many followers, but if one of them with 100,000 followers retweets it, guess what? Yeah, people know your fucking name all of a sudden! Maybe they’ll visit your website! Maybe they’ll donate to your election campaign so it doesn’t look like this again:
- Moving back to that Twitter page from above, you can see that Shawn has 1,800 people following him and that he follows 697 people. He’s also sent out 2,000 tweets (#3).
- Most of the time he’s conversing with Republican Mike Miller, one of the 4&20 bloggers, and jimmy d (#4).
- Shawn puts out about 7 tweets a day, on average (#5).
- He does most of his online footwork from his android phone. Also, he does send out tweets from websites using social sharing buttons or whatnot (#6).
So you can learn a lot if you’re using Riffle and other Twitter analytics software…if you want to. Remember, Shawn White Wolf is the kind of guy that doesn’t really want to learn, he wants to box in his own ideas and shut out anything unwanted that might try to poke its head into his self-secure sphere.
But remember, Shawn is better than me, someone that doesn’t want to dirty themselves with someone that says things like me. I mean, I might hinder whatever plans he has for Montana and himself.
Maybe it’s a highbrow attitude. He is an Indian – perhaps he feels wronged and a silly young white boy like me just isn’t worth his time or attention. I mean, to him I’m an internet troll, someone that says abusive and snarky and useless things, and has no place at the table of grownups, you know, the ones discussing the important matters of the country.
But now I’m a racist, so I guess I’ll have to contend with that card being played against me. After all, wasn’t race the whole basis of Shawn’s original tweet today?
It could just be that his political handlers have deemed it necessary to block anyone that could say an untoward word about their boy. Is Shawn White Wolf at such a level that he warrants political handlers, however?
I’m not convinced, so we’ll have to come to another conclusion – Shawn wants to limit what he sees and hears.
I love it when people in politics do this, limit the level of information they get. When politicians do this on Twitter, drowning out those annoying and ‘abusive’ voices they so hate, it just makes it so much easier for everyone else to pass them by.
They’ve put themselves in the slow lane! And that’s just one step removed from the shoulder of the highway, where you sit and watch everyone else speed by.
Alas, what can you do? This is Montana, a regional backwoods, a colony. We produce a small and finite number of resources and send them off to where they need to be to keep the machine running. Oh, we get a few scraps from the table, but not much – those that used to have us ask for more have long ago stopped asking us to do so.
So remember, blocking is a two-way streak – you stop hearing all you don’t want to, and you also ensure you might not hear something you need to.
