No, it wasn’t a lawsuit from Madame Sellout – the nickname I gave her when I profiled her and the other 2015 GOP “Leadership” last month – although I’m sure she was near-foaming at the mouth and twiddling her thumb around her or the Montana Republican Party’s lawyer's speed dial.
No, instead I got a reply from Doug here:
She wants to convert the AP press office into office space.
Where to begin?
- First, there’s no real reason to convert office space into office space – it’s already office space. Can you imagine the look on the mover’s face when Madame Sellout stands there, pearl earrings a dangling and gold pennant a-swayin’, telling those men to move the things up and down the hallway a few times before bringing them back? And let’s just hope to hell she doesn’t make them take them up and down the damn stairs!
- Next, where the hell are the Republicans supposed to get their information? We know many of the rank and file can’t walk by an open press door without sticking their noses in, kind of like your old classmate did to your notes 5 minutes before the test because they didn’t study the night before. Can you imagine having an uneducated GOP leadership team running around on the floor of the House and Senate? I mean, half of them are still drunk from the night before already – do we need this too!
- Finally, it gets back to this simple concept called common sense, or even just sense if it’s not at all common in your family, and believe me, in many it’s not.
I feel sorry for all the smart Republicans that were made to look stupid today because of this woman’s actions. She made a mistake, a big one, and now every time you look at her you’ll know she’s a sellout.
Young Republicans, especially, those ones that think they can tackle that national debt – don’t you guys realize how stupid old women like this make you look? It sets you back, it sets back your goals, and it makes people shake their head when you walk away and say ill things about you behind your back.
Some of you younger Republicans need to remember this, remember this woman and what she’s done to you today. Remember the bigwigs, that GOP “leadership” of yours, as they laugh about this later, like it’s some kind of joke. It’s not – 89 people don’t sign off on a bill to make a press room because it’s a fucking joke.
But you are, you’re a joke today. And I want you to think how many times Madame Sellout will make you a joke from this day until April. Can you afford that? Can your future?
