He had a hernia and we had to wait around for a long time, but then around 3:30 they managed to push it back in…but not well enough that we can do without surgery.
So we’ve got to drive to Spokane – they have no child surgeons in Missoula – and get an operation. They say the operation is small, but it’s an emergency procedure. If we’re lucky it’ll we’ll be able to come back to Montana on Monday afternoon.
I’m 110% depressed and don’t feel like doing anything. They say this is a common thing that hits about 10% of boys, a problem with testecles dropping and…I don’t know.
But if he lifts something heavy and it pops out again we might have to have a life-flight to Spokane. As it is, they expect this to cost $7,000…so I’m not even going to think about what an airplane would cost.
So we have no choice. We have no insurance – I’m self-employed and Jenny works at a place with too few workers – and we didn’t get Obamacare last year because of the problems and just the unknowns.
So now we’re screwed and will have this medical debt for years. America – the greatest country in the world.
In China we would have paid maybe a few hundred dollars, perhaps $1,000 at most. It was so much easier living there. America is just for rich people now.
Anyways, I won’t be writing on this blog for some time now. What’s the point? Thanks.
