It appears that the Army War College will not be overseeing the plagiarism case of John Walsh but the Defense Department will.
The article says this is “unusual.”
I’ll say…and it smells damn funny to me. Here is the rationale behind this from the Defense Department:
- Walsh is a Military Veteran;
- Walsh is a Member of Congress.
Alright…so…he’s getting special treatment, right? I mean, what the hell is this?
I can’t help but think those strings John Walsh should’ve pulled to get things right with Montana are now being pulled to ensure he doesn’t have to resign. I don’t necessarily think this is good.
It’s clear this has nothing to do with Montana or the people here, if it ever did. Now it’s getting into national issues and pride and…I don’t know, it’s too much.
Who controls the Department of Defense? Chuck Hegel, right? He’s a Democrat, a former high-ranking Senator himself. He’s a Democrat, I’ll say it again.
The Department of Defense will ensure the more right-leaning Army War College does not have the final say in this.
Now, did Hegel get this instruction straight from the top and Obama? I would have to think so, as I don’t see Hegel coming up with this on his own, or getting the go-ahead to do it. How will Daines spin that into the TV ads?
This is politics pure and simple in an election season that’s only got three months left.
But does it matter? I already said I’m not voting for Walsh and this sleazy backroom tomfoolery we’re seeing now isn’t going to increase the chances he’ll get that vote back.
Boy, this is not good and it just makes Montana a joke. The national news and fun shows are already starting to smell this glad mess and they smell advertising dollars too. This decision today by the Department of Defense in John Walsh’s plagiarism nightmare will only make things worse.
Once again, Montana is being drug through the ringer, or will soon be, just like 114 years ago.
